    • A system and method for cloning data using a wearable electronic device. The wearable electronic device includes a transceiver, a sensor, and an electronic processor electrically coupled to the transceiver and the sensor. The electronic processor is configured to establish, via the transceiver, a communications link with an electronic communications device. The electronic transceiver is further configured to transmit, via the transceiver to the electronic communications device, a device authentication key. The electronic processor is further configured to receive, from the sensor, at least one gesture signal. The electronic processor is further configure to, when the at least one gesture signal is received within a pre-determined period, determine at least one gesture from the at least one gesture signal. The electronic processor is further configured to determine a data cloning function based on the at least one gesture.

    • Devices are disclosed which are configurable to be worn by each of the players or persons on one or more teams playing a team sport or during activities requiring distance monitoring and notification of a breach in proximity. The devices are configurable to operate in a network environment to detect a device signal from one or more similarly configured devices worn by other players. The devices administer a proximity signal or alert to the users wearing the devices. The signal or alert can be audible, haptic, or both. The nature or quality of the proximity signal may change to reflect a distance to one or more other users. The devices can use RF or Bluetooth to measure the existence of a received signal, received signal strength of a like configured device. Devices can use an isotropic or omnidirectional antenna.

    • This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus related to an electronic stylus, the stylus having a manual user interface and including a nib and an ultrasonic transmitter configured to transmit an ultrasonic signal. The manual user interface includes one or both of: (i) a removable cap, wherein installing the cap covers the nib and switches the ultrasonic transmitter to a power down mode and removing the cap exposes the nib and switches the ultrasonic transmitter to a power up mode; and (ii) an actuator configured to switch the stylus between a first mode and a second mode, wherein, in the first mode, the nib is in an exposed position and the ultrasonic transmitter is switched to the power up mode; and, in the second mode, the nib is in a covered position and the ultrasonic transmitter is switched to the power down mode.
