    • Provided is a shock-absorbing device of a black box that stores video data in an accident. According to the present invention, it is possible to absorb an external shock in any directions with only a small number of springs by making an axial of springs in parallel to an attachment plane of the black box or a support member. In addition, it is possible to doubly absorb a shock by using elasticity and tension of the springs by crossing the contact points formed to fixing the springs to the black box and the support member. Furthermore, it is possible to easily increase or decrease elasticity of the springs by stretching or shortening one spring, and since an outer side of the springs contacts the attachment plane of the black box or the support member, it is possible to easily install the springs without considering irregularity of the attachment plane.

    • The present invention is directed to an image processing apparatus and method which is capable of safely processing and storing image data detected by a camera in a car accident. The image processing apparatus has an advantage of more safely preserving the image data, which are detected in occurrence of external impact, even when the black box device is broken due to an external impact, by promptly storing the image data in the nonvolatile and highly impact- resistant detachable memory card. In addition, the image processing apparatus of the present invention has an advantage of effectively preserving emergency-related data even with less power, by supplying power to only devices required to preserve the image data at an emergency. Furthermore, the image processing apparatus of the present invention has an advantage of preventing wasteful power consumption, by setting the apparatus to be operable corresponding to surroundings of the vehicle and extracting only image data for unusual situations.
