摘要： A device suitable for removing material from a living being is provided, featuring at least an aspiration pump, powered by a motor. The aspiration pump and any optional infusate pump preferably feature a helical pumping mechanism, and operate at a high rate of rotation, thereby ensuring adequate pumping performance and flexibility. The helical pumping mechanism may be a helical coiled wire about a central core tube. The helical coil wire, whether together with, or independent of, the core tube, may be rotated to cause a pumping action. Additionally, a narrow crossing profile is maintained, ensuring that the device may reach more tortuous regions of the vasculature. In one embodiment, the system comprises a wire-guided mono-rail catheter with a working head mounted on a flexible portion of the catheter that can laterally displace away from the guide wire to facilitate thrombus removal. The working head may be operated to separate and move away from the guide wire to come within a closer proximity of the obstructive material to more effectively remove it from the vessel.

The prosthesis is shaped with a central support section and one or more lateral anchoring sections or arms extending outwardly from the central section. The support section lifts the prolapsed organ to a more anatomically correct position, whereas the anchoring secton(s) are positioned through soft tissue away from the organ being supported to hold the implant in place by allowing tissue ingrowth into the anchoring sections. The implant may be formed of both synthetic and more natural materials.

The types of prolapse contemplated include rectoceles, cystoceles (whether central or lateral), enteroceles, urethroceles, hysteroceles, vaginal vault prolapse, uterine prolapse, and/or any other prolapse or combination of such disorders. The implant may be formed of both synthetic and more natural materials, whereby the synthetic material aids in providing the permanence of implant as the underlying support, while the more natural material acts as a buffer between the synthetic material and host tissue of the patient.

It can comprise a central portion; a first arm pivotally mounted to the central portion and having a first projection and a second projection extending therefrom. A second arm can be pivotally mounted to the central portion and having a first hole and a second hole defined therein. The first and second holes can be positioned so that when the first arm pivots toward the second arm, the first and second projections are received in the first and second holes. A tube portion can extend from said central portion and define a tube aperture therein. The tube aperture can be adapted to receive the barb such that the connector can be selectably detachably coupled or permanently affixed to the introducer needle.

摘要： Described herein are devices and methods comprising a system for tissue reinforcement, such as stabilization of fascial structures of the pelvic floor in vaginal wall prolapse. The surgical treatment can provide a mechanical support or bridging material for a fascial defect. An implant with four arms, for example two proximal arms and two distal arms, can provide post-surgical adjustability of the graft position, enabling tension free placement of the implant. In addition, a four-point fixation of the implant with apical support can ensure a suitable anatomical repair. Furthermore, instrumentation is disclosed herein, including an introducer device capable of fixing a wide variety of materials, such as mesh arms and suture, to tissue.
