    • The aim of the invention is to permanently and preventively display the complete transmission and service costs of internet, online and telecommunication services that are offered by corresponding service providers (telecommunications internet and/or data service provider T/DSP) during use of said services. To this end, the costs are recorded and calculated by the T/DSP and are then transmitted to the user. The T/DSP is linked with the data banks of the companies by means of automatic data exchange so as to detect all relevant costs, such as the telecommunication transmission costs, own link-oriented or volume-oriented costs as well as the costs for using services and optionally costs for service offers of third parties that market their services to the user via the T/DSP. These relevant costs for the respective connection are recorded and stored in said data banks.     • The invention relates to a method for the improved exploitation of resources between telecommunications networks and IP networks (for example, corporate LANs or the public Internet), for reducing the costs of permanent connections (always-on connections) and for optimising IP address economy. According to said method, an access, authentication and multiplex device ("RAMSES-client") replaces the usual RADIUS client. Said RC has an authentication device (RAC) which is connected to the ISP-specific authentication device and authenticates the ISP access of the subscriber. During the periods when there is no traffic, the RC deactivates the connection between the telecommunications network and the IP network, while the subscriber-side connection is maintained. When the subscriber has new data traffic, the RC automatically activates the IP connection concerned to the ISP with reversion to the stored authentication data. This makes a static use of the limited resources between the telecommunications and IP networks, such as dynamic IP addresses, PVCs, transmission channels, lines etc, possible. Additional RAMSES protocol elements allow the ISP-side activation of the partial connection for ISP-initiated e-mail delivery.

    • The invention relates to a method for improving monitoring measures in telecommunications networks and data networks (typically IP-based networks with internet and intranet connection). Improved technological developments have resulted in the provision of packet-oriented mobile radio networks (GSM/GPRS, UMTS etc.) as well as in improved internet access over a fixed network, which offers cost-optimized internet access for flat rate or always-on traffic. Due to the fact that no public internet addresses are sufficiently available, public internet addresses have to be duplicated via port sharing (PAT), timesharing (NAT), applications sharing (proxy) or by other methods. When transforming an address at the network boundary, this information, however, is not available inside the network-internal communications protocol so that monitoring measures can only be implemented in a limited manner over network boundaries. The invention eliminates this problem by virtue of the fact that the converting devices are integrated in the monitoring measure via technical implementations that are used as desired, whereby the main focus of consideration is on a solution which is cost-effective and safeguards performance.
