摘要： A mobile terminal generates an estimate of GPS time. The mobile terminal includes a cellular receiver, a GPS receiver, and a processor. The cellular receiver is configured to receive communication signals from cells in a wireless communication system. The GPS receiver receives GPS signals and determines a GPS time reference therefrom. The processor estimates a cell time reference from the received communication signals, and generates cell-to-GPS timing data that represents a time offset between the cell time reference and the GPS time reference. The processor then estimates GPS time based on a time indicator portion of a received communication signal and the cell-to-GPS timing data. The estimated GPS time may be used by the GPS receiver to acquire GPS signals.

摘要： An application program in a host server is operative to detect a change in the host server IP address and, in response thereto, send a message containing the changed address to a remote client, such as a mobile communication device. The message may be transmitted as an email message to a Short Message Server of a cellular message provider for the mobile communication device. The message preferably contains at least the changed IP address of the server. The SMS server can identify the phone number of the mobile communicaiton device from the received message and thereby submit the changed IP address portion of the message to the mobile communication device.

摘要： A camera assembly for generating high resolution photograph includes a sensor assembly that has two regions of different effective resolution. Image data from multiple images that are captured with the sensor assembly are combined to generate output image data in the form of a high resolution picture. A first region of the sensor is used to capture image data for the images that are combined. A second region, that is of higher effective resolution than the first region, is used to capture image data for use in aligning the image data from the plural images prior to combination.

摘要： Methods, circuits and mobile terminals determine the position of the mobile terminal. The position of the mobile terminal is estimated based on range estimates derived from digital television signals received at the mobile terminal from at least one digital television transmitter and based on range estimates derived from signals received at the mobile terminal from at least one other type of transmitter. For example, the other type of transmitter may be a GPS satellite or a base station of a mobile telecommunications network. Accordingly, by combining ranging signals from multiple sources, flexibility in acquiring enough signals to estimate a position of the mobile terminal may be increased and the estimation of the position may not require the use of weak digital television signals.
