摘要： Disclosed are a charge balance apparatus and a method for balancing at least one pacing electrode electrically coupled to the charge balance circuit. The charge balance apparatus receives a pace waveform from a pulse generator and provides a balanced flow of charge to the at least one pacing electrode. A charge monitor circuit is electrically coupled to the at least one pacing electrode and measures a flow of charge through the at least one pacing electrode in a first direction. A logic circuit interrupts a flow of charge in a second direction when a measured flow of charge in the second direction is substantially equal to a measured flow of charge in the first direction.

摘要： The system of the present invention includes a conductive element, an electronic component, and a partial power source in the form of dissimilar materials. Upon contact with a conducting fluid, a voltage potential is created and the power source is completed, which activates the system. The electronic component controls the conductance between the dissimilar materials to produce a unique current signature. The system can also measure the conditions of the environment surrounding the system.

摘要： Apparatus, methods, and system for stimulating tissue by using one or more individually addressable satellite units on a lead configured by one or more communication units disposed on the lead are described. In one aspect, the apparatus comprises at least one lead configured for insertion into a subject's body and the lead comprises at least one conduction path, one or more of satellite units located at a distal end of the lead, at least one communication unit disposed on the lead, a connector disposed on a proximal end of the lead, wherein the connector is configured to be coupled to an implantable pulse generator. The satellite units comprise one or more electrodes configured to interact with the body and the communication unit comprises control circuitry configured to communicate with an external device and the satellite units.
