    • A device for controlled supply of current to an electrically driven unit, comprising an outlet (1) designed for connection of the electrically driven unit, the outlet (1) being arranged to go into a first state if said electrically driven unit is turned off and go into a second state if said electrically driven unit is turned on.     • A DNA sequence comprising the sugar beet chitinase 4 DNA sequence shown in SEQ ID NO.1 or an analogue or subsequence thereof is disclosed. The polypeptide encoded by the DNA sequence, also termed the sugar beet chitinase 4 enzyme, has a high antifungal activity due to a bifunctional catalytic activity (i.e. a chitinase and a lysozyme activity) which makes the enzyme highly effective in inhibiting the growth of chitin-containing fungi. An even improved antifungal effect is obtained when the sugar beet chitinase 4 enzyme is used in combination with other pathogenesis related proteins, especially in combination with a second different chitinase and a beta -1,3-glucanase. A preferred use of the DNA sequence disclosed herein, optionally in combination with DNA sequences encoding other pathogenesis related proteins, is in the construction of genetically transformed plants, especially genetically transfrmed sugar beet plants, having an increased resistance to chitin-containing fungi as compared to untransformed plants.

    • The present invention relates to a new method named the COBASORB test, which can be used for testing the cause of cobalamin malabsorption in humans. The COBASORB test contains three separate tests (first, second and third test) than can be performed separately, sequentially or in random order and number. The first test use non-radioactive cobalamin for ingestion, the second test uses non-radioactive cobalamin and recombinant intrinsic factor for ingestion and the third test uses recombinant haptocorrin saturated with cobalamin for ingestion. All three tests involve analysis of changes in the concentration of cobalamin saturated transcobalamin (holo-TC) and cobalamin saturated haptocorrin (holo-HC) in the blood. Also disclosed are fits suitable for use in these methods.
