    • A tow truck (20, 22) having a body assembly including a left body structural unit (24) [a left body structural unit (24)] and a right body structural unit (26), each unit having a plurality of exterior panels (30) attached thereto. The structural unit is preferably formed from flanged (44) aluminum panels that are attached by adhesive (46). The improved underlift assembly (23) comprises a support arm (220) coupled to the vehicle, a base (222) coupled to an end of the support arm, a boom base (226) pivotally attached to the base at a first pivot pint (228) and a boom (236) pivotally attached to the boom base at a second pivot point (238). A first actuator (240) is coupled to the support arm and to the pivoting boom base. A second actuator is coupled to the boom base and the pivoting boom. The improved lifting boom (284) includes two lifting hydraulic actuators (290, 292) that are coupled to the lifting boom on each side and angled inward to provide improved stability.
