    • A drug delivery catheter includes a shaft, an inflatable inner balloon attached to the shaft. The inflatable balloon has an outer surface coated with a drug or a composition including a drug. The catheter also includes a perforated outer balloon. The perforated outer balloon surrounds the inflatable inner balloon. The perforated balloon has multiple perforations therein. A method of delivering a drug to a treated site using the catheter includes inserting the catheter into a body cavity to dispose the perforated outer balloon in a site to be treated and inflating the inflatable balloon to treat the site and to deliver the drug to at least some regions of the treated site through the multiple perforations. The body cavity may be a blood vessel or any other body cavity.

    • A catheter includes an outer conduit and an inner conduit having at least one movable part movably disposed within the outer conduit. An inflatable balloon has a proximal margin sealingly attached to the distal outer conduit's distal end, and a distal margin sealingly attached to the distal end of the movable part. The balloon includes a proximal portion, a middle portion and a distal portion. The distal balloon portion or the proximal balloon portion is a reinforced portion having at least some reinforced part for increasing the force required to initiate collapse of the reinforced portion. The remaining portion of the balloon is not reinforced. The catheter may also include a moving mechanism for axially moving the movable part of the inner conduit within the outer conduit, a fluid port for the introduction of an expansion fluid and a pressure regulating mechanism for reducing pressure changes within the catheter.

    • The present invention is primarily directed to a rapid exchange catheter that permits axial movement of an inner conduit within an outer conduit comprising: an outer conduit; an inner conduit, suitable for total or partial passage over a guide wire, wherein said inner conduit is movably disposed within the lumen of said outer conduit, wherein the proximal end of said inner conduit is angled such that it pierces the wall of said outer conduit; means for permitting axial movement of said inner conduit within said outer conduit, such that said movement is not hindered by the passage of the angled proximal part of the inner conduit through said outer conduit; and means, situated at the proximal end of the outer conduit, for causing axial pushing-pulling movements of said inner conduit.

    • The present invention is primarily directed to a balloon catheter system comprising outer and inner conduits, wherein said inner conduit is capable of being moved along its longitudinal axis in relation to said outer conduit. An angioplastic balloon is connected between the distal portions of the two conduits, such that the distal and/or proximal end portions of said balloon is/are capable of intussusception upon proximal movement of said inner conduit in relation to said outer conduit. Finally, the system further comprises means for the introduction of an expansion fluid into the annular space formed between the inner surface of the outer conduit and the outer surface of the inner conduit as well as means for preventing pressure changes within said annular space upon axial movement of said inner conduit in relation to said outer conduit.
