    • Controlling the climate in stables by measuring the animals' surface temperature by infrared sensors. It is a problem in stables when the animals have a behaviour different from the intended. The behaviour is changed if the animals are too hot or too cold. The air temperature is not sufficient information as this lacks information about air speed, feed consumption by the animals, animal activity and health condition of the animals. Measuring the surface temperature of the animals by infrared sensors will contain all of the above factors. This surface temperature may be used for controlling heating, covering and cooling measures.
