    • An inflatable sail batten (20) and a sail (10) incorporating same is disclosed. The batten (20) is located in a conventional sail batten pocket (40). The batten is formed of a hollow, elongate, fluid-impervious, flexible tube (22) having sealed opposed ends (24, 26). An inlet tube (36) communicates with the interior of the flexible tube. A supply tube (50) runs up inside the leech (42) of the sail and is connected to the inlet tube (36). The supply tube (50) is connected to a valve (52) for inflating the batten. The sail can have any number of such battens and the battens can be any length desired.
