    • A hand dryer (10) of the type used in public restrooms is disclose which includes an internal gas path at least partially defined between an air inlet (23) through which air flows into the hand dryer and an outlet opening (38) at a downstream end thereof through which air flows out of the hand dryer, and a compressor (28) driven by a motor (30) for drawing air into the air inlet, compressing the air, and feeding the air to the outlet opening. A variable-flow exhaust nozzle (18) is located at the downstream end of the hand dryer, the variable exhaust nozzle defining the outlet opening (38) at an exit thereof, the variable exhaust nozzle (18) being operable to vary the size of the outlet opening (38) in order to control one or more properties of the airflow exiting the outlet opening.

    • A safety brake system for a trailer comprises a brake end having a brake unit adapted to be secured to a trailer and positioned to block movement of the trailer when actuated and an actuation end adapted to be secured to a front end of the trailer. The actuation end comprises a hitch ball coupler having a hand portion defining a concavity adapted to receive a hitch ball of a vehicle. It also comprises a mechanism operatively connected to the hitch coupler and displaceable with respect thereto. The mechanism comprises a probe plunger and a hitched position. The mechanism is connected to the brake unit for actuation of said brake unit. The safety brake system also comprises a biasing unit. A trailer assembly is also provided.

    • A vehicle engine shutdown prevention system with a position determination module and a blocking unit. The module is adapted to be connected to the transmission for determining if it is engaged in a position included in a first or a second group of positions, the second group including at least one position for which the vehicle remains stationary when the engine is shut down, and the first group including the remaining positions. The module emits a block signal when the transmission is engaged in one of the first group of positions. The blocking unit is adapted to define the only path through which a stop engine signal may circulate from the switch to the engine control unit. The blocking unit blocks the path between the switch and the engine control unit when it receives the block signal.
