摘要： An antifraud device for use with a self service terminal having a fascia formed with an entry slot accessed by a bank card and a keypad has a control system for disabling the terminal in the event of tampering. A cover overlying the entry slot has an opening aligned with the entry slot of the card reader. The cover has a selected thickness thereby allowing the card to pass through it without allowing additional travel should something capable of reading the card be placed over the cove the entry slot. The cover has a breakaway contact adapted to sense unauthorized removal. A detector is provided to sense the presence of an unauthorized object proximate to the entry slot or keypad or both. A control system responsive to the breakaway contact and detector disables the terminal if the cover is removed or if the entry slot is covered by an unauthorized reader.

摘要： A method for manipulating one or more particles having one or more characteristics with an optical trap formed by modulating a laser beam with a Dynamic Optical Element (DOE). The method includes the steps of selecting at least one characteristic of the particle, generating a laser beam having a selected wavelength corresponding to the at least one selected characteristic of the particle, and selecting calculated values of the DOE, the calculated values corresponding to the at least one selected characteristic of the particles. The method further includes the steps of modulating the beam and the DOE to produce at least one holographic optical trap having properties corresponding to the at least one selected characteristic to, focusing the trap to a beam focus or spot size having a selected size, and locating the beam focus near a particle location for trapping the particle therein.

摘要： A method and apparatus for manipulating particles (micro, nano, and pico) having one or more characteristics with an optical trap formed by modulating a laser beam with a Diffractive Optical Element (DOE). At least one characteristic of the material is selected; and a laser beam having a selected wavelength corresponding to the at least one selected characteristic of the material is generated. Values of the DOE are calculated corresponding to the least one selected characteristic of the material. The beam and the DOE are modulated to produce a holographic optical trap having properties corresponding to the at least one selected characteristic; the trap is focused to a beam focus or selected spot size; and the beam focus is located near a particle location for trapping the particle therein.
