摘要： A V-grooved composite insulation is provided with an adhesive coating and a protective jacketing material bonded to the adhesive. The protective jacketing material extends beyond the perimeter of the grooved insulation board and comprises at least one intact release layer at a location in which the protective jacketing is clear of contact with the bottom surface of the insulation member and a pressure sensitive adhesive between the portion of the protective jacketing material and the at least one release layer. The method also comprises preshaping the grooved insulation board around a pipe by bending the grooved insulation board, removing the release layer of the protective jacketing material, thereby exposing the pressure sensitive adhesive and securing the pressure sensitive adhesive to the protective jacketing to thereby surround the pipe in a vapor free manner. Grooved insulation boards with protective jacketing so constructed are also provided.

摘要： The invention provides a lightweight composite gypsum board including a foamed low density set gypsum core, a top non-foamed (or reduced foamed) bonding high density layer and a bottom non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer, a top cover sheet bonded to the foamed low density set gypsum core by the top non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer, and a bottom cover sheet bonded to the foamed low density set gypsum core by the bottom non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer. The foamed gypsum core and the non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding layers are made from a gypsum slurry including stucco, pregelatinized starch, and preferably a naphthalenesulfonate dispersant and sodium trimetaphosphate. The foamed gypsum core has a density of less than about 30 pcf using soap foam in the gypsum-containing slurry. The gypsum board is lightweight with high strength. A method of making the gypsum board is also provided.

Preferably, at least one textured surface has at least one pattern of spaced, parallel grooves imprinted thereon.

The mesostructured film can be formed by retaining the substrate in an aqueous solution containing a surfactant, silicon alkoxide, and acid. After being retained in the solution, the substrate is heated at about 60 to 120 ° C for several hours to several days for reaction.
