Said aim is achieved by providing an air-conditioning device (11) which is configured and equipped such that the air-conditioning device (11) allows for thermal disinfestation and/or agent-based disinfestation and/or disinfestation by dehumidifying the at least one bed element (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) against parasites.

    • The sectional non-slip mattress (10) includes a support frame (14) defining a plurality of compartments (20) and at least one cushion (12) having a plurality of ball bearings received within a cushion (12) housing. Each compartment (20) receives a corresponding ball bearing, thus preventing horizontal movement of the cushion with respect to the support frame (14). The ball bearings form a first material layer and a second material layer is formed from a set of elastic beads, each having a volume smaller than a volume of each of the ball bearings. A third material layer is formed from a plurality of gel-filled capsules and the three material layers are all housed within a fabric cushion (12) housing, which is permeable to air. An additional air supply may be provided for driving pre-cooled or pre-heated air through the cushion.
