摘要： A wire mesh collimator (10) is proposed as an alternative to the multihole collimator of a gamma camera. The wire mesh collimator (10) comprises round wires that are used to form septa (12) of a wire mesh. Each septum (12) has a predetermined diameter and spaced apart at a distance same as the diameter of the septa. The first embodiment of the wire mesh collimator (10) has a uniform diameter of septa and distance between septa. For a collimator depth of 4 cm, the septa have a diameter of 0.02 cm and the distance between each septum is 0.02 cm. The second embodiment of the wire mesh collimator (10) has walls on the gamma ray entry point and exit point. Walls are created by stacking at least three septa together. For a collimator depth of 4 cm, seven septa having a diameter of 0.02 cm are stacked together to form an entry wall. Seven septa having a diameter of 0.02 cm are also stacked together to form an exit wall.

摘要： The present invention is a new composition of matter i.e. high dielectric permittivity La 0.4 Ba 0.6 Mn 0.4 Ti 0.6 O 3 ceramic and can be used as components of a capacitor. The dielectric properties possess in this material has improved tremendously as compared to the existing dielectric component. The finding of high dielectric permittivity in the present invention ceramic according to its formulation and processing technique that can operate or use at wide range frequencies and temperatures are very useful in electronic and electrical devices. The present invention is best for applications at the range of temperatures. The permittivity is recorded at 1 kHz are between -20,000 to -54,000 and almost constant over three decade of frequency. Thus, the dielectric permittivity obtained can be used as energy storage, sensor, electric filter, etc., besides minimizing the devices size.

摘要： Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) is an intracellular polymer that is biologically synthesized by microorganisms as carbon and energy reserve material. This biodegradable material has properties similar to petrochemical based thermoplastics. Currently methods of PHA extraction and purification from bacterial suspension use solvent or halogenated-based approaches which are costly and pose severe environmental damage. This invention describes a combined treatment of alkaline and homogenization for extracting and purifying PHA, with higher PHA purity and recovery.

摘要： Virgin coconut oil, cooking oil and coconut oil for biodiesel are obtained by irradiating fresh coconut milk with microwave. Depending on the desired end-product, the optimum set up of microwave power, time and temperature are electronically controlled accordingly. Virgin oil requires a microwave power setting of 50 to 1500 Watt at a frequency of 300 MHz to 20 GHz and a temperature range of 40 to 60 °C for a period of 10 to 60 minutes, while cooking oil requires a temperature range of 60 to 80° C and coconut oil for biodiesel, between 80 and 100 °C, The oil is separated from the irradiated milk by gravitational or centrifugal means.
