    • The invention provides an apparatus for the separation and recovery of volume-reduced polystyrene resin gel which makes it possible to dispose of a volume-reduced polystyrene resin gel continuously and efficiently and thereby attain the separation and recovery of a solvent and a resin. An apparatus for heating a volume-reduced polystyrene gel under a normal or reduced pressure and thereby conducting the separation and recovery of a solvent and a resin, constituted of a main body (10) which has in the upper part a solvent recovery unit for taking out an evaporated solvent continuously and at the bottom a resin recovery unit for recovering a resin separated from the solvent, pipes (20) which are arranged in the main body (10) and through which a heating medium is made to run, means (14) for introducing a volume-reduced polystyrene resin gel in such a way that the gel comes into contact with the pipes (20), a resin holding section (13) for holding a resin which has come into contact with the pipes (20) and then has run down, means (25) for heating the resin held in the section (13), and means (26) for stirring the resin.

    • Molded articles or substrates having an in-mold coating (90) thereon are disclosed. The in-mold coated substrates are produced by a method wherein the flow of the in-mold composition onto the substrate can be selectively controlled. The molded articles can be preferentially coated in desired or predetermined areas with in-mold coating compositions by controlling the thickness or depth of various sections of the substrate. In a further embodiment, a molded article or substrate is provided with an in-mold coating containment flange (130) to substantially contain the in-mold coating (90) within the mold cavity and on the desired area of a part before the coating has been cured. In yet another embodiment of the present invention, a molded article or substrate is provided with at least runner section or preferred flow channel to promote in-mold coating flow over the surface of a substrate. A further embodiment of the present invention provides a molded article with an area of increased relative thickness at the location of in-mold coating injection to encourage or promote in-mold coating flow.

    • A pair of rollers (2) is placed on a framing, said rollers serving as the seat and traction means for the form (3) to be reinforced. A pair of top press rollers (12) act upon said form while a pair of longitudinal guides (15) are in turn placed on said framing (1) laterally in relation to the framing (3) to enable parallel displacement relative to the framing (3) of a wagon (14) carrying the reel (13) that supplies the fiberglass mesh, said reel (13) being mounted on the wagon (14) and capable of rotating around the vertical axis with the purpose of changing the orientation of the glassfiber mesh relative to the form (3). While located in an end position on the guides (15), the wagon (14) supplies the reinforcement strip to the form (3) perpendicular to axis of the form. After rotating said form (3) several times, the wagon starts to displace longitudinally while the reel (13) adopts an inclined position until it reaches the opposite end of the form (1) where it returns again to a perpendicular position and then inverts its position.
