摘要： A stabilization system for a human spine is provided comprising at least two dynamic interbody device and at least one dynamic posterior stabilization system. In some embodiments the stabilization system comprises a pair of dynamic interbody devices and a pair of dynamic posterior stabilization systems. The dynamic interbody devices may work in conjunction with the dynamic posterior stabilization systems to allow for movement of vertebrae coupled to the stabilization system. The dynamic posterior stabilization systems may provide resistance to movement that mimics the resistance provided by a normal functional spinal unit. In some embodiments, a bridge may couple a dynamic interbody device to a dynamic posterior stabilization system.

摘要： It is intended to provide a femoral stem (2) for an artificial hip joint which is suitable for treating femoral neck fracture with a need for the fixation of the greater trochanter and shows a strong force of fixing the greater trochanter. This femoral stem (2) comprises: a stem member (20) provided, either in an integrated state or in a separable manner, with a distal stem part (21), which is to be inserted into the marrow cavity of the femur and fixed therein, and a proximal stem part (22), which has a neck part (26) for attaching an artificial bone head and is fixed to the proximal end of the distal stem part; a plate attaching part (36) located in a detachable manner in the top of the proximal stem part as described above; and a greater trochanter plate (3) which is fixed to the plate attaching part (36) at a definite angle or in a manner allowing the adjustment of the angle and presses downward the greater trochanter (71). Since the greater trochanter plate (3) is fixed to the femoral stem (2) in the femoral stem as described above, the greater trochanter is strongly fixed and thus the fixation can be stabilized. Since the greater trochanter plate (3) is fixed to the top of the proximal stem part (22), moreover, the greater trochanter plate (3) covers the upper part of the greater trochanter (71) infixing the greater trochanter (71). Thus, the upward shift of the greater trochanter due to the middle gluteal muscle can be effectively prevented.

摘要： A prosthesis suited for orthopedic implantation possesses a multi-piece stem component that supports an artificial joint surface that can articulate with another artificial joint surface in various ways. The prosthesis can be assembled in a snap fit and/or interlocking fashion that provides positive locking means without the use of screws or other fasteners. The prosthesis can accommodate fitment of a plastic joint surface made, e.g., from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The prosthesis is well suited for use in an ankle replacement system that can be installed using minimally invasive intramedullary guidance established with respect to the major axis of the tibia by minimally invasive access through the calcaneus, through an incision in the bottom of the foot. The prosthesis makes possible the installation of a total ankle system using minimally invasive anterior access to the ankle joint for making bony cuts and to install prosthesis components.

摘要： The present invention provides a vertebral implant comprising a wall forming two short sides (100, 101) and two elongated sides (102, 103) to define a generally elongated structure having a passageway (106) therethrough. At least one of the two elongated sides is resiliently compressible into the passageway, or resiliently expandable away from the passageway, under a force applied to the implant by movement of the spine into which the implant is placed. 摘要： In a first aspect the present invention provides a glenoid prosthesis assembly for use in shoulder joint arthroplasty to address conditions where deterioration of the rotator cuff mechanism of the shoulder joint is severe, the assembly comprising a first shell component to be affixed to a scapula by fixing means, and a smaller second component adapted to nest within the first component and having an articulation surface for articulating with a humeral head, the first component being over-sized relative to the glenoid surface of a scapula whereby the first component may be first affixed to at least two of the glenoid, acromion and coracoid processes of the scapula in use by the fixing means and the second component may be cemented in place within the first component allowing initial adjustability in the poise of the second component relative to the first component. Amongst other aspects the invention also provides a modular proximal humeral prosthesis system for use in shoulder joint arthroplasty which enables the proximal humeral prosthesis to be changed between anatomical and reverse of anatomical configurations to address differing degrees of shoulder joint deterioration.
