摘要： The partially lit T-bar includes a spine with a rest shelf at a lower portion thereof. The rest shelf supports adjacent ceiling tiles. The under surface of the rest shelf includes a lighting module on a portion and a plain unlit undersurface on other portions. Additional T-bars which are shorter, and typically fully lit or fully unlit and half the length of the partially lit T-bar are also provided which can attach at ends or near a midpoint of the partially lit T-bar and typically perpendicularly thereto. A great variety of lighting patterns in a dropped ceiling is thus facilitated. Each of the T-bars preferably also includes a heat sink on an upper portion of the spine and also preferably a lower heat sink on an upper portion of the rest shelf. Heat associated with the light element of the T-bar can thus be drawn away from a space below the ceiling.

The machine automatically loads sample and reagent into a well of the microtiter plate according to a testing protocol. The specimen can then be moved along with the microtiter plate into a slot of the reader and aligned with either a light source and detector for an optical density read or aligned with a photon counter for a chemiluminescence read. The reader includes a shroud assembly which can be raised and lowered by a lift assembly to occlude a read point from photons other than those emanating from the sample.

The valve indicates which ports are open or closed by providing unique marks adjacent the ports corresponding with being open or closed. When the positive marks are visible, such as through windows in a rotating structure fixed to the central hub or other control element, the corresponding ports are open. An optional pasta line is also provided beneath the water line. Pasta is provided from a package of pasta and flavorant with the bowl sized to match the amount of pasta in this package. Water is provided up to the water line. The bowl is then placed within a microwave and heated for a predetermined amount of time, preferably with a pause for stirring during this predetermined amount of time. The flavorant from the package is then added to the pasta.

摘要： An assembly is provided which includes an infusion device coupled to a standard medication syringe. The medication syringe may be coupled to a stopcock valve having multiple ports and to which syringes, vial adapters, infusion tubing, and multiple other items may be coupled. The infusion device includes a source of power based on a resistance force such as vacuum, spring or gas power. The infusion device converts the resistance based force to usable work in the form of a force applicator. The force applicator includes a driver section on one section of a reciprocating arm and an attachment to the power source on another section of the arm. The driver is pulled outward (excursion) to increase the size of the chamber, creating a force that tends to return the driver back inward, causing incursion. The driver can be attached removably to the syringe plunger to induce the infusion process.

摘要： An interbody fusion implant fits between adjacent vertebrae for fixation during fusion thereof. Upper bores extend into a cephalid surface of the implant and preferably include threads therein. A guide tool is removably attachable to the implant which supports guide bores along centerlines aligned with the upper bores in the implant. A drill can pass along these guide bores to form holes in a vertebra adjacent the cephalid surface of the implant which is precisely aligned with the upper bores. A hybrid screw then passes through these holes in the vertebra adjacent the cephalid surface and threads into the upper bores to secure the implant to the adjacent cephalid vertebra. Bone screws can also be used to secure the implant to caudal vertebra by passing through bores passing through the implant, such that the implant is securely mechanically fastened to both cephalid and caudal vertebrae adjacent the implant.

摘要： The power plant combusts a hydrocarbon fuel with oxygen to produce high temperature high pressure products of combustion. These products of combustion are routed through an expander to generate power. The products of combustion are substantially free of oxides of nitrogen because the oxidizer is oxygen rather than air. To achieve fast starting, oxygen, fuel and water diluent are preferably stored in quantities sufficient to allow the power plant to operate from these stored consumables. The fuel can be a gaseous or liquid fuel. The oxygen is preferably stored as liquid and routed through a vaporizer before combustion in a gas generator along with the hydrocarbon fuel. In one embodiment, the vaporizer gasifies the oxygen by absorption of heat from air before the air is routed into a separate heat engine, such as a gas turbine. The gas turbine thus operates on cooled air and has its power output increased.

摘要： The T-bar includes an elongate rigid spine extending between terminal ends including either a fixed anchor or adjustable anchor for attachment to adjacent T-bars or other supports. An upper heat sink is provided on an upper portion of the spine to enhance heat transfer from the T-bar to air surrounding upper portions of the T-bar. A light housing is provided on a lower portion of the T-bar which is configured to support a lighting module therein, such as a light emitting diode (LED) light. A lower heat sink is provided above this light housing and integrated into a rest shelf which supports ceiling tiles adjacent the T-bar. A power supply is provided which can be removably attached to the T-bar and provide appropriately conditioned power for the lighting module.

The support has a tab which can reside beneath shingles and over other portions of the roof. A front edge is provided opposite the tab which rests upon a lip of the gutter when installed. A floor is located between the front edge and tab at a position slightly below a plane in which the tab and front edge are located. The mesh overlies the floor. Holes in the floor allow water which passes down through the mesh to be conducted through the floor and to fall down into the gutter. Ribs extend up from the floor to support the mesh and draw water off of the mesh. The mesh is corrugated into a plurality of crests and troughs which extend perpendicular to the ribs.
