摘要： A blood monitoring system is capable of monitoring the blood of a subject in vivo. The blood monitoring system comprises: 1) an array of movable microneedle micromachined within associated wells; 2) array of motion actuators able to move each needle in and out of their associated wells; 3) array of microvalves associated with each microneedle able to control the flow of air around the microneedle; 4) an array of chemical sensors inserted into patient by movable microneedles; 5) an array of inductors able to measure chemical concentration in the vicinity of inserted chemical sensors; 6) conducting vias that provide timed actuating signal signals from a control system to each motion actuator; 7) conducting vias that transmit signal produced by array of chemical sensors to the control system for processing, although the blood monitoring system can comprise other numbers and types of elements in other configurations.

摘要： An apparatus for monitoring vital sign parameters in a biological entity is disclosed. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes at least one light source for transmitting light through the biological entity and at least one photodetector for receiving light transmitted through the biological entity. At least one light source and at least one photodetector are configured to be positioned proximate the biological entity in a manner that does not significantly impede blood flow through the biological entity. A signal is generated in response to the transmittance or reflectance of light through the biological entity. The signal corresponds to at least one characteristic of the generally unimpeded blood flow through the biological entity. The apparatus also includes a control system configured to analyze the signal to determine vital sign parameters in the biological entity. A method for monitoring vital sign parameters in a biological entity is also provided.

摘要： A biopotential measurement system incorporates a revolutionary approach to the acquisition of signals such as Electroencephalograms (EEG), Electrocardiograms (ECG), and Electromyograms (EMG) by incorporating active, digital electrodes that amplify and digitally convert biopotential signals at the source, thereby eliminating noise and signal degradation issues. This is to date the most integrated and advanced electrode designed for any biopotential measurement eliminating the poor Signal-to-Noise (SNR) problems seen in biopotential recordings. The digitized signals are then multiplexed across an electromagnetic two-way communication channel to a remote controller that selects which electrode to sample.

摘要： The invention relates to an ingestible, implantable or wearable medical device comprising a microarray which comprises a bioactive agent capable of interacting with a disease marker biological analyte; a reservoir which comprises at least one therapeutic agent and is capable of releasing the therapeutic agent(s) from the medical device; and a plurality of microchips comprising a microarray scanning device capable of obtaining physical parameter data of an interaction between the disease marker biological analyte with the bioactive agent; a biometric recognition device capable of comparing the physical parameter data with an analyte interaction profile; optionally a therapeutic agent releasing device capable of controlling release of the therapeutic agent from the reservoirs; an interface device capable of facilitating communications between the microarray scanning device, biometric recognition device and the therapeutic agent releasing device; and an energy source to power the medical device. 摘要： An analyte monitor includes a sensor (42), a sensor control unit (44), and a display unit (48). The sensor (42) has, for example, a substrate, a recessed chanel formed in the substrate, and conductive material disposed in the recessed channel to form a working electrode. The sensor control unit (44) typically has a housing adapted for placement on skin and is adapted to receive a portion of an electrochemical sensor. The sensor control unit (44) also includes two or more conductive contacts disposed on the housing and configured for coupling to two or more contact pads on the sensor. A transmitter is disposed in the housing and coupled to the plurality of conductive contacts for transmitting data obtained using the sensor. The display unit (48) has a receiver for receiving data transmitted by the transmitter of the sensor control unit (44) and a display (48) coupled to the receiver for displaying an indication of a level os an analyte. The enalyte monitor may also be part of a drug delivery system to alter the level of the analyte based on the data obtained using the sensor.

摘要： A wireless, programmable system for medical monitoring includes a base unit (18) and a plurality of individual wireless, remotely programmable biosensor transceivers (20). 摘要： A health monitoring garment which employs a means of conducting electricity from the surface of the skin, through the fibres of a fabric to another fabric, which is removably attached to it and contains a microprocessor, telemetry and a power source to monitor and transmit ECG data of a person wearing the clothing, as illustrated in Figure 2. Removability enables the garment to be washed and the electronics to be kept separate from the washing and tumble drying process. The same system can be used in reverse to effect cardiac pacing or defibrillation or to deliver other forms of electrically conveyed healing such as tissue repair.
