    • The invention concerns the use of a DNA sequence comprising: a nucleotide sequence coding for an indicator protein (indicator gene); a promoter; a mutated operator; the said nucleotide sequence being under the control of the said promoter comprising the said mutated operator containing two sequences and deriving from an operator containing two inverted repeat sequences (palindrome), this mutated operator being such that one of its sequences is mutated (mutation 1), while the other is for instance wild. The transcription of the indicator gene is repressed by controlling proteins in the form of heterodimers via their DNA binding sites, each monomer of these heterodimers being such that it recognises specifically one the sequence comprising mutation 1, the other the wild sequence, in particular for detecting interactions between two proteins, these interactions being revealed when there is repression of the transcription of the said indicator gene, this repression resulting from the formation of heterodimers.
