    • Die Erfindung betrifft ein steuerungstechnisch aktiv ent- und verriegelbares Schloss (1), insbesondere zur Verwendung für Aufbewahrungsautomaten mit einer Mehrzahl von Fächern mit individuell zu öffnenden Fachtüren (2), sowie einen Aufbewahrungsautomaten mit mindestens einem derartigen Schloss (1). Das Schloss (1) umfasst eine Sperrklinke (14), welche ein mit einer Fachtür (2) fest verbundenes Sperrelement (9) im Schloss blockieren kann, wodurch die Fachtür (2) in geschlossener Position gehalten werden kann. Das Schloss weist ferner ein erstes elektrisches Antriebsorgan (17) auf, welches bei Beaufschlagung mit elektrischer Energie die Sperrklinke (14) aus ihrer Sperrposition in eine Freigabeposition überführt, und so das Öffnen der Fachtür (2) ermöglicht ist. Weiters umfasst das Schloss (1) eine Sicherheitsvorrichtung (32), welche eine selbsttätige Rückstellung der Sperrklinke (14) aus der Freigabeposition in die Sperrposition im stromlosen Zustand des Schlosses (1) respektive im stromlosen Zustand des Aufbewahrungsautomaten unterbindet, und so ein ungewolltes, irr- tümliches bzw. missbräuchliches Verriegeln einer Fachtür verhindert werden kann. Zwecks ordnungsgemäßer Verriegelung einer Fachtür umfasst die Sicherheitsvorrichtung (32) des Schlosses (1) ein zweites elektrisches Antriebsorgan, durch welches bei dessen Beaufschlagung mit elektrischer Energie im Zuge des Schließens der Fachtür (2) die Sperrklinke (14) wieder in ihre Sperrposition überführbar ist.

    • A latch (10) for securing a moving panel to a stationary panel is actuated by a paddle (12) pivotally secured to the housing by a pair of gooseneck-shaped arms (22). Outward rotation of the paddle (12) depresses a spring locking member (60), thereby allowing a spring-biased pawl (36) to rotate from a latched position to an unlatched position. When the moving panel is closed, a keeper strikes the pawl (36), causing the pawl to rotate into its locked position. As it rotates, the pawl (36) pushes the spring locking member (60) out of its path, and the spring locking member (60) then returns to its original position, securing the pawl (36) in the latched position. The housing includes a concave finger recess (78) for access to the latch (10), and attaches to a panel using self-threading screws (70). The combination of the gooseneck-shaped paddle arms (22) and finger recess (78) allows the user's fingers fully behind the paddle (12), providing maximum leverage in operating the latch and moving the secured panel.
