    • The invention provides a load distribution system and method for distributing load between two or more axles of a vehicle. The load distribution system comprises one or more tyre pressure detection devices, wherein at least one tyre pressure detection device of the one or more tyre pressure detection devices is configured to monitor tyre pressure of one or more tyres of the plurality of tyres. The load distribution system further comprises a control unit configured to control the at least one suspension based on a rolling resistance force at at least one tyre of the plurality of tyres, wherein the control unit is configured to estimate the rolling resistance force based on the tyre pressure of the at least one tyre, and wherein the control unit is configured to control the at least one suspension for distributing a load between at least two axles of the three or more axles.

    • A tyre inflation feed arrangement for a tyre supported on a wheel carried by a wheel rim rotatably mounted via a wheel hub on an axially outer end of an axle housing. The feed arrangement has an annular support body surrounding the outer end of the axle housing, and three concentric annular seals extending around an axially outwardly facing surface on the support body to seal two concentric annular chambers formed in the axial!y outwardly facing surface between the seals. A first of these annular chambers is connectable with pressurised air to inflate the associated tyre and the second annular chamber is connectable with pressurised air to operate a valve mounted on the wheel for admitting air into the tyre from the first annular chamber or exhausting air from the tyre. The annular seals are each mounted in a respective annular groove in the axially facing surface and each groove is also connectable with a source of pressurised air to press the seals against an annular contact surface on the wheel hub to seal the first and second annular chambers when the tyre is being inflated. The wheel hub is provided with first receiving means which open through the annular contact surface to receive air from the first annular chamber and conduct such air to the tyre and second receiving means which also opens through the annular contact surface to receive air from the second annular chamber and conduct such air to the valve mounted on the wheel. The support body is mounted on the axle housing in a location radially within bolts which attach the wheel to the hub to reduce the rubbing speed of the seals on the contact surface to reducing wear caused by the contact pressure of the seals.

    • Pressurized air for the pumping of a truck tire is lead through a control device comprising a contact manometer (4), an output pumping hose (10), a pair of switching solenoid valve means (16 and 18) and an electric control unit (20) which by means of a repetition rate source means (26) influences upon one of the valve means (16) to successively switching of the lead-out (8) unto the pumping hose (10) between establishing of a connection with a lead-in for pressurized air (6) and with the manometer (4) respectively in such a manner that the manometer reaches to indicate the actual pressure within the tire between the pumping periods wherein the supply of pressurized air is fully opened. A maximum value contact (24) of the manometer serves to switch the first valve means (16) permanently to the manometer connecting condition when a certain overpressure within the tire is attained and to activate the other valve means (18) to successively switching of the lead-out to the pumping hose (8) between establishing of connection respectively with a venting-opening (30) and the manometer (4). An operational pressure contact (22) of the manometer is applied to establish switch-off of the venting when the pressure within the tire is relieved to the wanted operational pressure. The device is in an all automatic manner able to perform a fast and reliable pumping of the tire also when prescribed that pumping shall take place in a manner establishing a certain overpressure and thereafter venting the pressure until the operational pressure within the tire is attained. .
