    • The present invention relates to a blocking system (1, 1') associable to a roller awning having an end edge fixed to a winding roller and the opposed end edge associated to a terminal (3) comprising a tubular body whose end portions (3A) are adapted to slide inside guides (2) for moving said awning between a wound position and an extended position, wherein said terminal (3) of the roller awning is placed adjacent to the lower stop ends (2A) of said guides (2). The blocking system (1, 1') comprises first coupling means (40) comprising a pair of engaging elements (4, 4'), each associable to a respective end portion (3A) of the terminal (3) of the roller awning and capable to move between a first position, wherein said end portions (3A) of the terminal (3) can slide freely within said guides (2) and a second position, wherein they cooperate with second coupling means (50) associable to said lower stop ends (2A) of said guides (2) for removably blocking the awning in the extending position. In particular, said first coupling means (40) further comprise driving circuits (100), each comprising first actuation means (6) and driving means (44), said driving means (100) each being connected to one of said engaging elements (4, 4'), said second coupling means (50) comprise second actuation means (7) adapted to interact with said actuation means (6) for triggering said driving means (44) so that said engaging elements (4, 4') move automatically between said first position and said second position.

A tensioning assembly (32) is positioned in the header (26) and, without disassembling the device (10), it may be accessed to adjust the tension of the spring (54). The header (26) is provided with a sealing surface (50), the sill (25) is provided with a sealing surface (105) and each side frame (23, 24) is provided with a sealing surface (89). A force upon the curtain assembly (27) causes it to engage the sealing surfaces (50, 89, 105) to provide a full perimeter seal around the window opening (21).

    • An operator for a window covering held on a roller or axle (2) has a stationary member (13) having a central cavity and a first bore sized and positioned so that the roller can pass through the bore into the central cavity. A release brake (15) is positioned so that the axle or roller can pass through and be held by the release brake (15). An inertial ring (30) within the central cavity of the stationary member, surrounds a coil spring (23) which encircles the axle (2). A rewind spring (21) is connected between the spool (19) and the stationary member such that when a force acts on the spool (19) in the first direction from the initial position the rewind spring (21) will tighten and when the force is removed the spring (21) will loosen causing the spool (19) to return to the initial position.
