    • A device consisting of an inner mould (15), an outer mould and at least one injection aperture in the outer mould, for making the corners of sealing frames, especially tunnel sealing frames, which are usually made of four sealing sections of elastomeric material assembled together, in which each sealing section has open and/or closed longitudinal grooves on the base of the section and additional longitudinal channels between the grooves and the back of the section. The corners of the sealing frames are made by the injection moulding process. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that the inner mould (15) has additional mould inserts (24) as stops for the sealing sections on both sides (17, 18) seen from the corner (16), the mould inserts having studs (25, 26) and lugs (27, 28, 29). The lugs run in the opposite direction to the corner (16) of the inner mould and seal off all or at least a part of the channels on the front of the section during manufacture. A further embodiment and corresponding processes are proposed.

    • Conventional seals in molds for forming gaskets about glass preforms may deform against a glass preform and cause distorted molded gasket shapes and seal failure. The invention provides means to equalize stresses along the seals to solve the problem. The seal assembly cooperates with a mold to define a gasket forming mold cavity. Each seal assembly includes a sealing body (36, 42) having a sealing surface (38, 44) which faces and is adapted to sealingly contact the window assembly (30). The seal assembly also includes a first fluid filled bladder (41, 45) positioned between the sealing body and a bottom of the groove (39) in the mold section. A second fluid filled bladder (50) is positioned between the sealing body and a side wall of the groove to force the sealing body against the opposite side wall of the groove.

    • Mold structure for forming a polymeric gasket around a predetermined portion of a sheet of transparent material such as glass, with the object of minimizing hand labor in the assemblying of seals and windows. The mold structure includes two cooperating mold sections (12 and 14) for defining a chamber for receiving the transparent sheet (16). A seal (18, 20) is positioned about the periphery of the chamber and is utilized to resiliently support the sheet within the chamber. Also, the seal cooperates with a predetermined portion of the transparent sheet for defining a gasket cavity having a configuration corresponding to the gasket to be formed on the sheet of transparent material. An inlet (25) communicates with the gasket cavity and is utilized to introduce a flowable gasket material into the gasket cavity.
