摘要： This invention is a prosthetic foot having a keel (10) formed by a flexible sole plate (24) connected to the lower end of an ankle portion (12) that is attachable to a user's leg or leg prosthesis. A plurality of resilient bending ribs (22) extend from the ankle portion to spaced apart locations on the upper surface of the sole plate to resiliently bias the sole plate to a neutral configuration. As the forward portion of the sole plate is progressively loaded, the sole plate flexes causing the bending ribs to deflect until they successively stack up against each other, thereby progressively stiffening the keel.

摘要： Liners (10) are adapted for use with a prosthetic or orthotic device, and provide a barrier and/or interface between a residual limb and a prosthetic socket, or between an orthotic device and the site of application. The prosthetic and orthotic liners include at least one antiperspirant (30), and methods of forming the same in an efficient, reliable manner. The liners (10) may include aluminum-based antiperspirants such as Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Glycine. The antiperspirants (30) may be provided as a powder or anhydride, may first be constituted in a silicone-oil, and mixed under vacuum. The antiperspirant-oil mixture can be combined with silicone components and mixed under vacuum. The resulting complete mixture is then cast and cured into a silicone elastomer liner (10) with antiperspirant (30) dispersed and/or embedded.

The prosthetic foot includes a primary foot member extending from a heel portion to a toe portion of the foot. A shock absorbing heel member extends down from an underside of the primary foot member and at least one tendon extends from the heel member and connects to a more forward portion of the primary foot member. A connecting element extends upward from a top surface of the heel portion of the primary foot member, wherein at least the primary foot member, the heel member, and at least one tendon are a unitary structure produced by the additive manufacturing process.

In a preferred embodiment, a plurality of foot shell devices, often with at least differing heel heights adjusted for barefoot walking, or for use with shoes with different heel heights, will be provided. The devices are designed to allow an average adult to remove a foot shell and replace a foot shell within a short span of time, such as under two minutes. Such a plurality of devices can help a prosthetic leg user avoid prosthetic leg mal-adjustment problems such as hyperextended knee pressure or prosthetic posterior lean. The devices can also adjust the height of the prosthetic foot to compensate for the missing elevation caused by a missing shoe when walking barefoot. The device may be further configured with one or more fasteners to facilitate rapid application and removal.

摘要： A covering for a prosthetic leg. The prosthetic leg is nominally adjusted for optimal performance while the user is wearing shoes. The covering is configured to cosmetically resemble skin, and to shield some or all of the prosthetic leg mechanical components from outside view, thus making the prosthetic leg resemble a natural leg. The covering is designed to enable a prosthetic leg wearer to walk without shoes in a manner that makes it look as if the wearer is walking barefoot. To avoid prosthetic leg misadjustment problems such as hyperextended knee or prosthetic posterior lean, the covering is further configured with one or more internal inserts designed to adjust the height of the prosthetic foot to compensate for the missing elevation caused by the missing shoe. The device may be further configured with one or more fasteners to facilitate rapid application and removal.
