摘要： A cam-actuated connection device joins rail mounting members of a photovoltaic panel array. The connection device slides within channels of mounting members until the members are in a properly positioned grid. When in position, the connection device is rotated to lock the mounting members in a rigid grid network. The connecting device can be subsequently loosened, repositioned and locked into position. The rail-mounting members create a grid for installation of multiple PV panels. The mounting rail allows the unit to remain relatively compact in nature but still covers a wide range of PV panel thicknesses. The rail system has a hinged connection with the mounting rail that allows an installer to assemble the module in a near perpendicular fashion to the mounting rail, make the required electrical connections and then lower the PV module into its working position. The unit is then locked into its working position.

摘要： A non-contact device for measuring current in a conductor. The device includes an interferometer with an optical fiber that extends around the conductor and through which light beams pass. The magnetic field around the conductor, caused by the current conducted through the conductor, causes a phase shift in the light beams, which is measured. The measured current is corrected as a function of the temperature of at least the fiber, and possibly also the temperature of the quarter wave plate and/or the compensation coil in the interferometer. Multiple sensors are evenly spaced and mounted to the fiber in the preferred embodiment, and the signals from the sensors are averaged. The average signal is used to correct the measured current.

In one embodiment, a rotatably driven table supports a pizza while a blade disposed above the table is configured to move vertically and horizontally. A programmable user interface allows operation of the cutter. After the cutting process is completed, a blade cleaner wipes the blade of debris, which eliminates cross contamination between different types of pizzas.

摘要： A filter for industrial coating filtration systems. The filter has a housing made up of a peripheral wall extending around the periphery. The housing is preferably made of a suitably rigid material. A preferably rigid support backing is mounted within the housing. The support backing has a planar configuration with openings formed through it so that gas can flow through without substantial resistance. The preferably planar sheet of which the support backing is made is pleated. The pleated support backing defines a series of panels, each of which is angled to a next adjacent panel. Filtration media is mounted to the support backing, end caps are attached to the ends of the support backing to maintain the pleated configuration, and the assembly is inserted into the housing, which can have end flaps to seal using tape or adhesive.

摘要： A filter contains fluent particulate, such as carbon granules. The filter is divided into a plurality of cell chambers by walls, including an upper wall. The upper wall has a surface that faces, and is closest to, the top surface of the particles. The upper wall surface is oriented so that, as the particles settle, any gap formed between the top surface of the particles and a portion of the upper wall surface will not extend from the upstream to the downstream sides of the filter. Instead, contact is maintained between the top surface of the particles and the upper wall surface during fluid flow through the filter, and therefore any gas flowing through the frame must flow through, and through spaces around, particles. An angle between the upper wall surface and the flow direction of gas striking the filter is greater than about three degrees.

摘要： A hair brush that permits quick and easy removal of hair has a handle attached to a head. The head is made up of at least two frames that are mounted to the handle through cantilevers that permit movement of the frames relative to one another. The bristles are mounted to the frames, preferably in single rows. A force applied to one frame moves that frame relative to the other frame and the handle, thereby permitting the user to reach between the frames to remove any hair that is caught in the bristles. The brush allows a gap between the bristles to be enlarged, thereby making removal using human fingers much easier. Repeated movement and return of the frames to their resting position can cause the hair fibers to work away from the bristle bases and make removal much easier.

摘要： An apparatus for loading shipping containers onto and off of a truck or trailer bed. The apparatus includes rotatably mounted drive chains disposed in a laterally- spaced relationship adjacent the lateral edges of the bed. The drive chains are driven by a hydraulic motor on the bed.
