    • A candle holder (10) comprising a body (11) having a mouth (12), a base (14) and sides (16) that connect the mouth (12) to the base (14) is provided. The mouth (12) comprises an opening (13) arranged to receive a candle and at least a portion of the sides (16) taper inwardly from the mouth (12) towards the base (14). The inward most point of the tapered portion (16c) of the sides (16) defines an aperture (15) having a size which is less than that of the widest part of the candle. Also provided are a candle (20) and a candle stand (40) having a catching means (48) for use with the candle holder (10). In use, wax and waste material from the candle (20) pass through the aperture (15) of the candle holder (10) into the catching means (48). Thus, the candle holder (10) can be reused repeatedly without the need for cleaning or replacement of the candle holder (10). The catching means (48) may be filled with a non-flammable liquid and may be provided with a netted tray (52) for removal of solidified wax and other waste material from the catching means (48).

    • A multiple agency transaction accounting system includes a plurality of point of service stations that conduct, for multiple agencies, respective agency transactions that are associated with various reporting requirements, fees and commissions. A universal transaction encoding subsystem encodes the agency transaction data received from the plurality of stations into universal transaction data and supplies the encoded data to a universal transaction settlement subsystem that parses and aggregates the universal transaction data into encoded agency-specific transaction data and provides the encoded agency-specific transaction data to the respective agencies to complete the transaction accounting. The accounting system may also include a money management subsystem that processes fees and commissions associated with the agency transactions in bulk for the respective agencies. The money management subsystem may process the agency transactions as credit card transactions. The money management subsystem thus processes agency transactions paid for in cash as both a cash advance by a station credit card account and a payment to the station credit card account and agency transactions paid for by check as both a cash advance to the station credit card account and a payment to the station credit card account. Alternatively, the money management subsystem may process the agency transactions as bank account transactions in which agency transactions paid for in cash are processed as both a debit to a station bank account and a deposit to the station bank account, and agency transactions paid by credit card as a deposit to the station bank account.

    • A pharmacy post office receives prescriptions and produces through an automated pill dispensing and packaging system, pharmacy letters that are sorted and delivered as first class or priority mail pieces. The system packages the prescription medication in carriers that are sized to fit into mail sorting machines that sort the first class or priority mail pieces by postal delivery routes. The pharmacy letters include patient mailing address information such that the pharmacy letters are then fed to the mail sorting machines and sorted along with the first class or priority mail pieces for delivery by the postal delivery persons along their customary routes. The system includes a robotic subsystem that dispenses the medication from pill canisters supplied by the drug companies and provides the pills to an automated packaging system. The packaging system feeds the pills into compartments of a carrier base or blister pack and prints on the carrier or applies as labels thereto drug identification information, mailing address information and tracking information, such as a machine readable code. The packaging system then assembles and seals the carrier, such that mailing address information is available for reading by mail sorting machines. The assembled pharmacy letters are then supplied to the mail sorting machines and included in the first class or priority delivery operations of the post office. A track and trace system may be included to provide a delivery schedule to the patient and/or prescribing doctor. The track and trace system is informed when the packaging system provides a pharmacy letter to the mail sorting machines, and the system determines if the pharmacy letter will be included in the same day postal delivery operations or in the next day operations. When a pharmacy letter is delivered by the postal delivery person, he or she scans the tracking code and transmits information back to the system, which then updates its delivery schedule to show the completed delivery.
