    • The invention concerns a method of conveying a free-flowing component, in particular a corrosive and/or abrasive reaction component, which has previously to be heated, from its packing drum (3; 15-19) provided with a removable lid. The packing drum is placed in a heating chamber (5) and heated. The packing drum which has been heated to processing temperature and is in the open state is then raised to such a level that the stationary intake opening (1) of a pump (2) comes to lie in the base region of the packing drum. A further, unheated packing drum is then introduced into the heating chamber below the packing drum which has now been raised. The further packing drum is then heated and finally, when the raised packing drum has been emptied, the lower packing drum which has now been heated is removed from the heating chamber. The emptied packing drum is then lowered and likewise removed. Finally, the previously heated packing drum is returned to the heating chamber and raised. The invention also concerns a device for carrying out the method.

    • A bottled water station (10) includes an improved dispenser faucet (18) for use in dispensing chilled water from a station reservoir (14) wherein the improved faucet is designed to substantially eliminate formation of condensation on externally exposed surfaces of the faucet structure. The dispenser faucet comprises a delivery conduit (44) having a rear end (52) adapted for removable mounting onto the reservoir and a front end (58) projecting forwardly therefrom to a spigot (48) having a manually operable valve member (50). The front end of the delivery conduit is surrounded for a substantial portion of the length thereof by a substantially sealed annular air gap (62) wherein the air gap provides an insulation chamber which is effective to reduce or eliminate condensation on exposed external surfaces of the faucet.

    • An improved bottled water station (10) includes a removable reservoir (14) for drop-in installation into and lift-out removal from a station housing (20). The reservoir (14) is constructed from a lightweight molded plastic or the like to have an open upper end for receiving and supporting an inverted water bottle (12). A bottom wall on the reservoir (14) includes an upwardly recessed portion defining an inverted receiver cup (74) for slide-fit reception of a chiller probe (16) provided as part of a refrigeration system (22) on the station housing. One or more faucet valves (50, 52) are provided to extend through openings (48) in a front wall (24) of the station housing (20) for dispensing water from the reservoir (14).

    • The invention relates to beverage dispensing apparatus adapted to support a readily replacable drinking water container. The prior art dispensers, which were typically constructed of sheet metal, were limited in cost effective exterior configurations, expensive, and required maintenance. The invention solves these problems by providing a dispensing apparatus constructed of synthetic resin, load-bearing vertical panels that are readily assembled. Load-bearing, synthetic resin vertical panels (33-35) and horizontal top (32) are integrally formed with cooperative, interlocking fasteners (34A-35G) which hold the panels and top in edgewise abutment with one another. The front (33) and opposing side (34) vertical panels are adapted for use on both room temperature and chilled water dispensers. The room temperature dispenser is additionally provided with a rear vertical panel (35), and the chilled water dispenser employs a pair of laterally spaced apart rear corner panels. The panels are molded to support a water reservoir (36) therein.
