The missing of hard kinematics connection between the handle (18) and the pressing device (801) allows the movement to be wide enough, so that the juice extractor may be used for extracting juice from different sized fruits and for operations requiring grater strength, like mashing boiled potatoes or vegetables, apples and other fruits, smashing of cans and other similar tasks. The return of the pressing device in its starting position is accomplished by a spring (811), after the end of the task, of placing the handle in its uppermost position and releasing the stop washer (808). The total of the effort is controlled by an eccentric washer (806) and may reach up to 1000 kg.

    • A food processing arrangement for mashing various food products to provide a food of the nature of West African fufu. The food processor has a base unit (10) with a rotation producing structure. A mashing unit (30) having a roller (12) is removably mounted on the base unit and the roller of the mashing unit is positioned in the food receiving cavity of the bowl. The roller has driving engagement with the inside surface of the bowl so that the roller rotates about the roller axis. Food in the food receiving cavity is mashed between the inside surface of the bowl and the outer surface of the roller. A scraper (18) is provided to scrape food from the outside surface of the roller and the inside surface of the bowl and is positioned to direct the food so scraped to a predetermined location where the mashed food may be removed from the bowl.

The cutting tool (20) is further adapted to urge the cut food substrate towards and through the dicing tool (40) where generally parallel spaced-apart blades (66) further cut the food substrate to form diced food elements. The sequential cutting arrangement of the cutting tool (20) and the dicing tool (40) provides for a food processing device (10) that is capable of dicing a food substrate with lower torque and lower power requirements as compared to conventional dicing methods.
