摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing a surface having ultraphobic properties. According to the inventive method, an essentially smooth surface comprised of tungsten carbide is structured by means of laser ablation, whereby recesses are formed which, in particular, periodically recur along the surface and which have a depth ranging from 10 mu m to 500 mu m. The surface is optionally coated with a bonding agent layer and is subsequently provided with a hydrophobic or oleophobic coating.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing nonslip floor coverings (1) made from mineral materials such as natural stone, fine stoneware, artificial stone or ceramics. The inventive method is carried out in two stages. In the first stage, micro-craters which are invisible to the human eye are created and statistically distributed on the surface of the floor coverings or slabs by means of pulsed laser bombardment. According to the invention, the surface of the floor coverings or slabs thus obtained are subsequently subjected to hydromechanical post-treatment, wherein the surface of the laser-structured floor covering or slabs are sprayed at least twice with a liquid (3, 8) e.g. inorganic acid or halogen hydrogen acid. The final spray process (8) is used to clean and/or neutralize previous spray liquids from the surface of the floor covering (1) or slabs. After each spray process, at least one further process occurs wherein the spray liquid is distributed homogeneously on the surface of the floor coverings or slabs and excess spray liquid is removed (12) from this surface. Subsequently, at least one drying process (13) is carried out.

摘要： A method of creating a pigmented image on a monument stone substrate includes positioning the stone relative to a laser engraving apparatus, masking the stone substrate in an image area in which the image is to be created with a first mask layer, operating the laser engraving apparatus in a pattern over the masked area at a sufficient power level to burn through the mask and pit the stone substrate with a first set of pits, applying a first layer of pigment over the image area to any remaining first mask layer in the image area and to the first set of pits, curing the first layer of pigment and removing any remaining first mask layer. Additional colors or pigment layers can be added by repeating the masking, burning and applying steps, and the final such step can be a dithered image, followed by an edge defining cutting step in which the border of the image is defined. All pigment layers are rooted in the stone. The final pigmented image is preserved with protective coatings.

摘要： The invention provides a method for applying a multi-colored, long lasting engraved mark on the surface of brick (10) or other similar ceramic objects. Masks (40) are used to separate coloring agents (16) during the process such that variegated designs are created. A groove (14) may be placed in the brick (10) over the area to be marked to provide a substratum for coloring agent (16). The coloring agent (16) is placed in the groove (14) and subjected to heating such that it melts and fuses with the brick (10) surface bearing the groove (14). The coloring agent (16) is comprised of colored glass frit particles. A laser (12) is optimally used for providing both th egrooving and heating steps.
