    • A lightweight chain apparatus (10) is provided for rotation in a high-speed media processing apparatus for particularly causing media to be conveyed. The chain apparatus includes a plastic chain (20) having a series of substantially parallel rollers (22A, 22B) maintained in a spaced-apart relationship by a series of interconnected link plates (24A, 24B) positioned on opposing ends of the rollers wherein the rollers and the link plates are constructed of different materials. One or more push members (30A, 30A') are mounted on the chain for engaging and conveying media, and each push member includes opposing substantially parallel push plates (32A, 32B) attached substantially perpendicularly to opposing ends of at least a pair of the rollers so as to link the pair of rolers. Each push member forms a laterally extending portion (50A, 50B) which can be supported against adjacent link plates of the chain for increased stability and longer life when the push member encounters media to be conveyed.

    • The invention relates to a method for ejecting a stack of sheets from an output holder attached to a printing device, the output holder configured to hold a stack of sheets printed upon by the printing device according to a plurality of print jobs submitted to the printing device, the printing device comprising a control unit for controlling the receiving of the plurality of print jobs in a print job queue and the printing of the plurality of print jobs according to the print job queue, the method comprising the steps of receiving a trigger comprising information for an ejection of the stack for another reason than a full output holder, the stack ejection to be performed before the start of the printing of a print job residing in the print job queue or after the print job residing in the print job queue has been printed,and entering a task for the ejection of the stack at a position in the print job queue, the position determining an intended moment in time of the ejection of the stack corresponding to the information comprised in the trigger. The invention also relates to a printing system configured to execute the method according to the invention.
