摘要： A method of producing an ink jet type recording head comprising the steps of (A) forming a peel layer (11) undergoing peeling upon irradiation of light on a light-transmitting substrate base (10), (B) forming a common electrode film (3) on the peel layer (11), (C) forming a plurality of piezoelectric devices (4) on the common electrode film (3), (D) forming a reservoir member (5) having a cover-like structure for accommodating therein at least one piezoelectric device (4) and having the inside thereof for forming an ink reservoir (51), (E) irradiating predetermined rays of light from the side of the substrate base (10) to the peel layer (11), causing the peel layer (11) to peel and peeling the substrate base (10), and (F) bonding a pressure chamber substrate (2) having a plurality of pressure chambers (21) formed therein to the common electrode film (3) after the peeling of the substrate base in such a manner as to seal each pressure chamber (21). Because this method can produce the thin pressure chamber substrate separatelyfrom the formation of the piezoelectric device and finally bonds them together, it can produce a head capable of coping with high resolution.

Specifically an ink jet recording head having a diaphragm constituting a part of a pressure generating chamber (12) communicating with an opening of a nozzle, a piezoelectric element (300) formed on the diaphragm, and an active section (320), which is provided in a region opposed to the pressure generating chamber (12) of the piezoelectric element (300), wherein the recording head is further provided with a vibration restriction portion for partially restricting at least a part of vibration of the part of the diaphragm which is in the vicinity of a boundary between the diaphragm and a circumferential wall of the pressure generating chamber (12).

摘要： An improved print head construction for maintaining wafer strength along the line of nozzles at approximately 50 % of the normal wafer strength. This is achieved by dividing each row of nozzles into segments, and by displacing some of those segments (preferably every alternate segment) in the print direction. Displacement of the segment of nozzles is in the print direction so that the nozzles can still print the same pixels to the recording medium, simply by altering the time that the nozzles are provided with the particular information to be printed. The distance that the displaced segments are displaced is preferably slightly more than the width of the slot (or ink channel) in which the nozzles in the appropriate segment are formed.

摘要： A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle layer having a nozzle through which a liquid is discharged from a second side toward a first side, a liquid chamber substrate, and a drive circuit. The nozzle layer includes a vibration layer, a piezoelectric actuator adjacent to the nozzle and over the first side, a circuit connection over the first side, a first protective layer around the circuit connection, a second protective layer over the piezoelectric actuator, a first water-resistant film over the first protective layer, and a second water-resistant film over the second protective layer. The second protective layer is separated from the first protective layer. The first protective layer defines an opening above the circuit connection. The liquid chamber substrate has a liquid chamber communicating with the nozzle. The drive circuit is disposed over the second side and connected to the circuit connection to drive the piezoelectric actuator.
