    • The present invention relates to a dental implant abutment and to a method for manufacturing same, and more particularly, to a dental implant abutment which supports a porcelain prosthesis so as to define the outer appearance of an artificial tooth, and which his fixedly coupled to a fixture, and to a method for manufacturing same. The dental implant abutment includes: a first part having a coupling structure corresponding to the inner structure of a fixture such that the first part is coupled to the fixture; a second part extending upward from the first part so as to contact the gums; and a third part extending upward from the second part, the outer circumferential surface of the third part including side and top surfaces, wherein porcelain is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the third part, a concave portion that is inwardly recessed is defined in the top surface, and the third part has a horizontal cross-sectional area that gradually increases as it progresses upward from the concave portion.

The method may also include displaying a 3D image representing exterior soft-tissue cranio-facial features of the patient. The method may additionally include receiving input from a user regarding movement of a particular portion of the one or more portions of the 2D image. The method may further include redrawing the 3D image based at least on the movement of the particular portion of the 2D image to simulate response of the exterior soft-tissue cranio-facial features of the patient to movement of a portion of the patient's bony tissue corresponding to the particular portion of the 2D image.
