摘要： A system for selectively blocking nerve fiber activity in a target nerve is provided. The system includes one or more electrodes. The system further includes an electronic control system electrically attached to each electrode to deliver electrical stimulation to a target nerve to block nerve signal transmission of C-fibers in the target nerve such that the nerve signal transmission of A-fibers in the target nerve providing motor function and/or low-threshold sensory function is not blocked. A method of delivering electrical stimulation to selectively block nerve fiber activity in a target nerve and a kit for performing a procedure to selectively block nerve fiber activity are disclosed.

The OTN catheter assembly includes a catheter defining a lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end. A needle having a proximal end and a distal end is configured within the lumen of the catheter. The needle hub is configured with the proximal end of the needle and includes a bore defined therethrough. The needle hub also includes at least one cavity extending from the bore to an exterior surface of the needle hub. Thus, the needle extends at least partially through the bore of the needle hub such that the needle is exposed via the cavity from the exterior surface of the needle hub so as to engage a nerve stimulator apparatus.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed to an over-the-needle (OTN) catheter assembly having an expandable catheter. More specifically, the OTN catheter assembly includes a catheter having an expandable body with a proximal end and a distal end coaxially mounted onto a needle. The body defines a lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end. Further, the body is expandable between a compressed length and an expanded length. The needle is configured within the lumen of the catheter and has a first length. The first length is longer than the compressed length of the catheter and shorter than the expanded length of the catheter. In addition, the body of the catheter is configured to expand from the compressed length to the expanded length when heat is applied to the catheter such that the distal end of the catheter extends past a distal end of the needle.

摘要： A wound dressing system that includes a conformal cover and an infusion pump is provided. The cover includes a fluid port and an oxygen catalyst. The infusion pump is configured to deliver a bioactive liquid to the cover via the fluid port. The liquid includes an oxygen precursor. Upon combination, the oxygen catalyst and precursor react to form oxygen. A method of applying a wound dressing system including a bioactive powder, a bioactive liquid, and a conformal cover to a wound site is also provided. The method includes applying the powder to the wound site; securing the cover around the wound site, where the cover includes an oxygen catalyst and a fluid port; and delivering the bioactive liquid to at least an inner layer of the cover via the fluid port, where the bioactive liquid includes an oxygen precursor.
