摘要： A packaging machine has, for wrapping flat, rectangular items in a wrapper sheet, a folding, sealing and conveying apparatus including an intermittently driven turntable, a plurality of pocket assemblies on the turntable, a charging station for radially introducing an article with a wrapper sheet in between first and second walls of a pocket assembly dwelling in the charging station, a sealing station for providing a longitudinal fin seal on previously superposed flaps of the wrapper sheet, and a discharge station for radially ejecting the article from the pocket assembly dwelling in the discharge station. There is further provided an extension affixed to the first wall of each pocket assembly at an angle to the first wall. Each extension has a support face cooperating with the sealing shoe of the sealing station as a countersupport. The apparatus also has a device for rotating each pocket assembly approximately 180.degree. relative to the turntable for setting each extension into a radially relatively outward position in the charging station and a radially relatively inward position in the discharge station.

The spiral stacker operates in timed relation with the stacking conveyor which operates intermittently to move each successive stack formed by the spiral stacker in a direction away from the spiral stacker.

摘要： A commercially viable paper wrapped foam cup comprising a taper portion that prevents the shrinkage-induced curling from interfering with the un-nesting of nested paper wrapped foam cups. The paper wrapped cup further comprises a fillet for strengthening the cup foot to retard shrinkage-induced curling of the foot. The paper wrapper has abutting to overlapping opposing ends to completely hide the foam cup to enhance the visual appearance of the cup. The overlapping portions of the paper wrapper are not bonded to each other to prevent wrinkling of the paper wrapper as the cup shrinks. A machine and corresponding method provide for automatically supplying foam cups and paper wrappers, wrapping the paper wrapped cup, and stacking the wrapped cups.

摘要： A log packaging apparatus for packaging logs using a turret or a shuttle. The turret or shuttle can be used in conjunction with a wrap conveyor. The turret system can include a rotatable turret with at least one clamp movable into different positions in the apparatus, a log station at which logs are received, and a log ejector for ejecting logs from the log station into clamps of the turret. Logs can be ejected from the log station, through wrap material, and into the turret clamps. In other embodiments, a wrap conveyor inserts wrap material between a shuttle and a log station at which logs are received. Logs in such embodiments can pass from the log station to the shuttle through the wrap material.

摘要： A log packaging apparatus for packaging logs using a turret or a shuttle. The turret or shuttle can be used in conjunction with a wrap conveyor. The turret system can include a rotatable turret with at least one clamp movable into different positions in the apparatus, a log station at which logs are received, and a log ejector for ejecting logs from the log station into clamps of the turret. Logs can be ejected from the log station, through wrap material, and into the turret clamps.
