    • A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a discharge portion configured to discharge a sheet having a folding portion, a conveyance portion configured to abut on a lower surface of the sheet discharged by the discharge portion, to convey the sheet downstream in a sheet conveyance direction of the discharge portion, a pressing portion arranged at a position opposing the conveyance portion, configured to press an upper surface of the sheet discharged by the discharge portion, and a moving portion configured to move the pressing portion in the sheet conveyance direction of the conveyance portion, in which the moving portion moves the pressing portion upstream in the sheet conveyance direction of the conveyance portion, to move the pressing portion from a position where the sheet discharged by the discharge portion is not pressed to a position where the sheet discharged by the discharge portion is pressed.

    • The present invention relates to a device for stacking of sheets. A high-speed printer is provided for printing the sheets or at least one continuous web which is cut to sheets (2). The stacking device is provided to receive sheets in at least one flow (AS1 and/or AS2) thereof to said stacking device and to transfer said sheets (2) in the flow (AS1 and/or AS2) thereof to at least one first stacking table (11b) in order to form thereon at least one stack (2A and/or 2B) of sheets (2). At least one second stacking table (11c) is provided for displacement in between two sheets (2) in the flow (AS1 and/or AS2) thereof when sheets (2) therein are transferred to the first stacking table (11b) such that the second stacking table (11c) divides or cuts the flow (AS1 or AS2) of sheets between said two sheets (2) and interrupts the formation of at least one stack (2A and/or 2B) of sheets (2) on the first stacking table (11b) and permits formation of at least one stack (2A and/or 2B) of sheets (2) on the second stacking table (11c) without interrupting or stopping the flow (AS1 and/or AS2) of sheets (2).

    • An apparatus for counting and collecting paperboards which counts, by a counting device, at an inlet thereof, the paperboards brought by a conveyor device, heaps them up successively from the bottom thereof by restraining their movement with a stopper disposed on the surface of a conveyor, and transfers them to a further process each time they are collected as many as a predetermined number, characterized in that the stopper is composed of a shaft for rotating itself intermittently in response to a signal from the counting device, a plurality of stopper members which are rockingly disposed around the shaft and which are urged in the rotational direction of the shaft, and torsion springs, disposed on the shaft, for restraining the rocking movement of each stopper member in the vicinity of an upright position thereof, and the shaft stops its intermittent rotation at a working position of each stopper member and at an approximately middle position between a stopper member at said working position and an adjacent stopper member.

    • Apparatus for assembling sheets into a stack, the apparatus comprising a stacking station having two laterally spaced guide elements (25A,25B) defining first and second guide surfaces fixed relatively to one another. First and second transport systems. (2,3; 9,11,12) define respective first and second paths, the first transport system being adapted to transport sheets along the first path to the stacking station (24) and the second transport system being adapted to transport sheets in both directions along the second path between positions upstream and downstream of the stacking station (24). The guide elements (25A,25B) are movable between first and second positions (25',25). In the first position sheets fed along the first and second paths from positions upstream of the stacking station (24) are guided along respective ones of the first and second guide surfaces to a position downstream of the stacking station in the second path. In the second position the guide elements (25A,25B) enable sheets in the second path to be moved between positions upstream and downstream of the stacking station (24) along the second path guided by the second surface and prevent sheets from passing into the first path. A microprocessor (31) controls operation of the first and second transport systems and the position of the guide elements (25A,25B) such that when the guide elements are in the first position, the speeds of the first and second transport systems are controlled whereby sheets fed along the first and second paths from upstream of the stacking station (24) are assembled together in a stack in the second path downstream of the stacking station.
