摘要： A shipping container, particularly suited for shipping wine bottles within a shipping box, having a pair of container halves. Each container half includes an outer tray that is shaped to fit the shipping box, and an inner tray that is configured for securely holding one or more wine bottles. Both the outer tray and inner tray are made of readily recyclable pulp material, and have a void therebetween. A starch based biodegradable insulation material fills the void therebetween, such that the shipping container is made entirely of biodegradable material, yet is sturdy and has insulative properties.

摘要： An apparatus and a method are for sealing packages on a flatbed machine. The package is formed from a base-film web and a water-soluble cover-film web. The sealing apparatus includes a liquid supply, at least one moistening unit, and a pressing device for vertically pressing and sealing the cover-film web together with the base-film web. The moistening unit has a moistening roller and a spraying device, the moistening unit being able to be switched between a first operating state and a second operating state. In the first operating state, the moistening roller acts on the cover-film web at a roller moistening location. During or after a machine standstill period, the sealing apparatus is transferred to a second operating state in which the spraying device acts on a spray portion of the cover-film web. The spray portion lies between the roller moistening location and the sealing location in the feed region.

The tube (120) is heat sealed along the overlapping section (123) to form a longitudinal sealing joint (130) and heat sealed across the longitudinal sealing joint (130) to close the tube (120) with a first traverse sealing joint (141) at a first tube end (121). The tube (120) is filled with a substance (500) and heat sealed across the longitudinal sealing joint (130) to close the tube (120) with a second traverse sealing joint (142) at a second tube end (122). A first and second amount of glue (300-302) is applied on-FIG. 3 to the flat sheet (100) at a first and a second triple point section (151, 152) where the longitudinal sealing joint (130) and the respective traverse sealing joints (141, 142) intersect, respectively. The glue (300-302) seals the respective triple point section (151, 152) upon heat sealing of the respective tube end (121, 122) to form the respective traverse sealing joint (141, 142). The invention also relates to a packaging (200) enclosing a substance (500) and a machine (600) for producing the packaging (200).

摘要： The invention relates to a device for, and method of, applying, drying and activating hot glue on the packaging machine itself. In the case of the basic option, the device works as follows: two assemblies (1) for applying and drying glue are positioned on the plates (3) of machine (M). Assemblies (1) are made up of consoles (11) mounted in a way that enables them to slide and move, their front end on the lever (32) and their rear end on the shaft (31) attached between two plates (3). The lever (32) is attached, by way of levers (33), between the plates (3). One device (12) for applying hot glue is attached to the consoles (11), just above the lever (32), while a number of fans (13) are fastened along the console (11), above the device (12), as well as on the opposite side. The heater (4) is horizontally attached to the carrier (42) and positioned in the opening (43) on the plate (41). The strip heater (7) is made up of an endless strip (71) and vertical heaters (72). In the case of the basic option, the method of applying, drying and activating hot glue on the packaging machine itself consists of the following: paper (5) from the roll (51) is introduced under the consoles (11). The devices (12) apply hot glue to the top side of the paper in a continuous strip (61) and a discontinuous strip (62). Strips of glue (61, 62) are dried by fans (13) and further transported through the machine (M), together with the paper (5). Once the product is packaged, packages reach a horizontal heater (4) which activates the glue (61, 62) on the bottom side of the package, after which product packages pass between vertical heaters (72) which activate the glue on the sides of packages.

The device includes an inflation assembly configured for insertion between first and second overlapping film plies. The inflation assembly includes a fluid conduit configured to direct a fluid in between the plies to form one or more cushions. The fluid conduit includes a nozzle. The inflation assembly includes a cutting member. The cutting member includes a blade holder with a blade and a blade guard mounted thereon. The blade guard has a safety position in which the blade is covered and a retracted position in which the blade is exposed. Installation of the blade holder onto the inflation assembly automatically positions the blade in the working position with the blade guard retracted. Removing the tray from the inflation assembly automatically positions the blade in the safety position by covering the blade with the blade guard.
