The deterrent system in one example comprises a compressed gas cylinder where the gas includes a chemical animal deterrent and a carrier. In one example the system utilizes a user-actuated valve coupled to the compressed gas cylinder. The actuator for the valve mounted within easy reach of the user (vehicle operator) such as mounted to the bicycle handlebars. The system in one example comprises a short gas conduit having a first end coupled to the user-actuated valve and a second end fluidly coupled to a plurality of mist producing spray apertures.

摘要： A unique method and apparatus for suppressing the spread of and extinguishing fires in confined areas such as underground tunnels and conduits. The new method includes mixing a super absorbent polymer supplied from a backpack, in one embodiment, with water to form a hydrated super absorbent polymer and applying this admixture to an electrical fire. The super absorbent polymer can be contained in a backpack. The admixture has the ability to cling to the object(s) to which it has been applied and either cool down the object(s) after it is on fire, or block the fire from reaching the object. The super absorbent polymer and water admixture also encapsulates the noxious and toxic gases and prevents the release of these toxic gases into the atmosphere. The super absorbent polymer and water admixture retains the ash, particulates, and other byproducts of the electrical fire to enable a rapid and thorough cleanup.

摘要： This invention is related to a portable texture-spraying apparatus for uniformly dispersing a viscous material. This apparatus broadly includes a tank assembly having a body with an inner wall that defines a sealed cavity, and a piston assembly slidably disposed within the sealed cavity. The piston assembly divides the sealed cavity into an air-side chamber and a material-side chamber by providing an airtight seal therebetween. Additionally an air-control assembly is provided that broadly includes a pressure-control mechanism configured for receiving compressed air and routing a controlled pneumatic pressure to a directional valve configured for adjusting between a dispensing mode and a loading mode. In dispensing mode, the directional valve routes the controlled pneumatic pressure to the air-side chamber biasing the piston assembly toward the material-side chamber. In loading mode, the directional valve releases the air-side chamber to the atmosphere allowing for filling the material-side chamber with viscous material.

摘要： A foam delivery system which may be worn by a fire fighter is disclosed which comprises a foam containing vest formed of two components filled with foam concentrate in fluid communication with a foam aspirating spray nozzle. The front portion of the vest is provided with adjustable connectors or buckles so that the foam vest may adjusted to fit the fire fighter. A connector hose permits fluid communication between the two vest components. The vest components include vertically extending chambers which open to a bottom fluid chamber. The vest is provided with a fill port and a vent opening permitting the foam concentrate to be evenly distributed throughout the foam vest. A valve and hose arrangement connect the vest to the spray nozzle which is connected to a water hose. The spray nozzle includes a venturi nozzle for developing a low pressure zone within the spray nozzle for aspirating foam concentrate into the water stream.
