摘要： A fire suppression system includes a water supply, a foam concentrate supply, and a venturi-principle foam proportioner fluidly coupled to each of the water supply and the foam concentrate supply. The venturi-principle foam proportioner controls a ratio of water and foam concentrate within a low pressure chamber to form a water and foam solution flowing out of the venturi-principle foam proportioner. The system also includes a variable foam concentrate orifice fluidly coupling the foam concentrate line to the low pressure chamber. The variable foam concentrate orifice includes an actuator configured to adjust an orifice area of the variable foam concentrate orifice based on a temperature of the foam concentrate.

摘要： A chemical injection system. The chemical injection system includes at least two Venturi injectors in parallel. Each of the Venturi injectors having an injector housing with a longitudinal cavity having the shape of hourglass. One end of the longitudinal cavity forms an injector inlet, and the other end forms an injector outlet. Each of the injector housings also has a first vertical cavity forming an injector port located at the hourglass constriction. The injector inlets are fluidly coupled together to form a shared injector input and each of the injector ports is fluidly coupled to an individual valve. Each of the injector outlets is fluidly coupled to the input a separate T-filter and the outputs of the T-filters are fluidly coupled together to form shared T-filter output.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a self-expanding fire-fighting foam solution is disclosed. Here, the method can include purging air from a container, wherein the purging is performed via flowing an inert gas into the container, such that substantially inert environment is created within the container. In addition, the method can further include dispensing or filling a pre-determined amount of foam concentrate into a container, dispensing or filling a pre-determined amount of water into the container, and mixing the foam concentrate and water within the container, wherein the mixed foam and water within the inert container provide the self-expanding fire-fighting foam solution and having a pH ranging from about 6.8 to 7.8 moles per liter.

摘要： A fire extinguishing agent delivery apparatus, system, and method of use having an outer tube with an inlet attached to a pressurized water source and an outlet attached to a firefighting hose. The apparatus includes an inner venturi tube mounted within the outer tube, having a funnel-shaped inlet and outlet, a reduced diameter intermediate portion, and an extinguishing agent inlet port. The apparatus includes a device for injecting extinguishing agent into the inlet port and the venturi tube has a smaller diameter than the outer tube, so a portion of water travels through the venturi tube and mixes with extinguishing agent and a greater portion of water travels unobstructed through the outer tube and mixes with the mixture of water and fire extinguishing agent discharged from the venturi tube, prior to discharge from the outer tube.

摘要： A solid foam stick manifold device provides solid stick foam additive to multiple discharge lines. The device includes a housing having an interior space defining a mixing chamber configured for holding a solid foam stick. An inlet extends from the housing and is in fluid communication with the interior space directly into the mixing chamber. An outlet extends from the housing and is in fluid communication with the interior space. The outlet is positioned such that flow through the inlet passes through the mixing chamber before being expelled through the outlet for expelling foam produced by mixing of water with the solid foam stick within the mixing chamber.

摘要： A tank on a firefighting aircraft initially is loaded with water. A polymer gel emulsion vessel is provided but gel emulsion is not activated and mixed with water in the tank until such polymer gel preparation is initiated by an operator. When initiated, a pump pulls water from the tank and returns water back to the tank with a dose of gel emulsion supplied therein. Double elbows and/or the pump impeller fully activates the polymer gel. The activated polymer gel is mixed within the tank by one of a variety of systems including sparging with air, routing of return water from the pump through nozzles and providing a baffle for generating circulatory mixing flow within the tank, or utilizing a mixer element which moves dynamically within the tank. Hydrodynamic forces associated with the aircraft passing over a body of water can power dosing of the water with polymer gel emulsion.

The fluid delivery assembly includes a pump to pressurize a fluid stream. An electricity generator is positioned on the platform and electrically connected to components requiring electricity. The apparatus includes a communications module electrically connected to the generator and having a wireless internet connection and a user interface such that tank fluid levels, fuel levels, maintenance records, weather data, and active fire details are selectively communicated to a remote location using the wireless internet connection.

The water tank provides water through the outlet and the foam storage tank provides a foam fire suppressant. The test system also includes a flush valve coupled to the flush line, where the flush line extends through the flush valve and into the foam feed line at a junction, and a foam valve coupled to the foam feed line before the junction, where the foam feed line extends through the foam valve and accepts the flush line the junction. A flow meter is coupled to the flush line between the flush valve and the junction, where the flow meter is configured to monitor a flow rate of the water within the flush line.
