    • A satellite payload architecture for interactive data distribution and broadcasting services preferably for use in the emerging EHF (20-60 GHz) frequency bands. The system allows many individual service-program providers to transmit their service-program data to the satellite, on a bandwidth-on-demand and as-needed basis, directly from their premises through low-power, low-cost broadcast satellite terminals. The satellite payload utilizes high-gain spot beams for low-cost uplinking, digital regeneration and multiplexing of the individual received service-program data into MPEG transport streams, and broadcasting these in a DVB-compatible format via full-area broadcast beams to very small, low-cost end-user satellite terminals. All end-user satellite terminals are also equipped with transmit capability of a reverse-channel in support of interactivity-communications and network signaling/control functions. The proposed system will provide low-cost interactive data distribution and broadcasting services to thousands of small and large content-providers to reach their target customers.

The signals can be digitalized according to MPEG-2 or according to any known signal algorithm.

    • The present invention is a vehicular wireless audio/video record/playback unit, wherein the unit detects satellite, AM/FM radio and television broadcasts including new music release and live music and entertainment events and upon detection of a commercial break, station break, distortion or satellite interruptions, the unit pauses a recording function until the commercial or station break, distortion or satellite interruptions are eliminated. The unit supports internet access, on-line banking, stock market trading, commodity and precious stone/metal trading. When integrated into the vehicular audio system and led screen the microphone and infra red night vision camera provide for telephone/video conferencing, recording of impacts and unwarranted intruder with audible sound that alerts the motorist when the camera senses fatigue, and a retractable assembly mechanism that uses the vehicular ignition switch to retrieve, retract and/or bypass the unit in the vehicular electronic compartment, wherein the unit have a record/playback memory space, high speed dubbing/memory erase and sensor configuration with the remote control peripheral for accessing the unit at any convenient seat position and a dual purpose audio/video track disk having software downloaded as the unit for rebooting the cd player or re-configure the unit if there was a unit failure.

    • A digital broadcast transmitting method and an apparatus for repeating and transmitting a digital broadcast program are disclosed. The method comprises transmitting individual information from a first to a second digital broadcast transmitter, wherein the second digital broadcast transmitter selects particular information from the individual information. The selected information is transmitted to a receiving terminal which stores contract data corresponding to the selected information. In addition, the first digital broadcast transmitter supplies common information necessary for descrambling the broadcast program.     • A broadband data broadcast system that allows rich multimedia content to be delivered to a plurality of subscribers is disclosed. The broadband data broadcast system operates by multiplexing a plurality of rich multimedia digital information streams together at a centralized data broadcast center. The receiver system caches the interesting digital information stream for later access. The receiver system outputs the interesting digital information streams to a client system upon demand. The receiver system may also stream an incoming digital information stream to a client as the stream is received.
