摘要： Processing implemented by computer means of sound data output by at least one sensor and activation of at least one actuator of an acoustically radiating structure. The sensor senses an acoustic signal output by the vibration of the radiating structure. The radiating structure bears at least one actuator controlled by the computer means and is thus involved in the vibration of the radiating structure. In particular, the method comprises the steps of: a) measuring a transfer function of the actuator, radiating structure and sensor assembly, b) controlling activation of the actuator so as to make the radiating structure vibrate, according to a selected setpoint: taking account of the transfer function measured, and taking account of the acoustic signal sensed by the sensor in feedback mode.

摘要： A touch-based user interface system comprising an arrangement for scanning a tactile sensor array to produce a corresponding array of measurement values that are presented to a processor for computation. The computation produces a plurality of running sums created from selected measurement values or functions of selected measurement values. A post-scan computation algorithm derives at least three independently-adjustable interactive control parameters responsive to at least displacements or angles the contact of a single area of threshold contact or threshold proximity. The system provides output control signals responsive to the independently-adjustable interactive control parameters. In one aspect of the invention, n algorithmic element for handling of regions of threshold contact or threshold proximity having non-convex shapes. In another aspect of the invention, an algorithmic element calculates the rate of change of one or more of the independently-adjustable interactive control parameters. Other aspects of the invention include shape and gesture recognition.

摘要： Multi-channel audio signal processing systems and techniques are provided for electronic instruments having multiple and distinct output channels. Such systems may be used in conjunction with instruments comprising multiple vibrating elements, each with a dedicated signal output. Each received audio signal channel may be directed to a dedicated or shared signal processor for variably changing selected attributes of pitch, timing, timbre, and amplitude in ways that are unique for each signal. Signal processors may be shared using an allocating mixer, allocating switch, or both. An output mixer may be used to mix signal processor output signals into one or more outgoing mixed audio signals. Signal processors, mixers, and switches may be configured by stored program control and controlled in real-time. Real-time pitch variations can be used to change the pitch organization of fixed-pitch vibrating elements within an electronic musical instrument.

摘要： A sustainer for providing sustained sounds from a musical instrument has a feedback circuit for converting a pickup signal representing a vibration of a string or other vibratory element to a drive signal and applying drive forces to the vibratory element responsive to the drive signal. The sustainer is arranged to compensate for the phase lag of the pickup signal relative to motion of the vibratory element and to compensate for the phase lag of the drive forces provided by the driver relative to the drive signal. The feedback circuit may be arranged to provide a phase difference between the drive signal and the pickup signal such that the phase difference varies with frequency towards a drive signal leading phase difference with increasing frequency. This phase compensation provides enhanced response of the strings in the fundamental mode of vibration. The driver preferably is arranged so that the drive forces applied to the strings do not vary with lateral movement of the strings.
