    • A combinational weighing device is provided with a detection part detecting a measuring state on the basis of the quantity of a object introduced into each measuring hopper and a correction part operating a target dispersed weight defining the reference for control on a cross feeder by a supply control part. The correction part corrects the target dispersed weight in response to the measuring state of the combinational weighing device detected by the detection part. In other words, the correction part controls the quantity of the object supplied to a dispersion feeder on the basis of measured data indicating an actually measured value. Thus provided is a combinational weighing device performing efficient measurement without complicating the device structure.

    • A device for dispensing particulate matter may include a gravimetric sensor to measure the weight of particulate matter mixed with a fluid carrier. In an illustrative embodiment, a dry chemical inductor includes a bin for containing particulate matter, a conduit for transporting a stream of liquid carrier, and a valve for controllably releasing a particulate matter from the bin into the conduit. The device may further include a gravimetric sensor, such as an electronic scale or a load cell, for measuring the weight of particulate matter released from the bin. A controller may receive signals from the gravimetric sensor and actuate the valve to interrupt the flow of particulate matter when the desired amount of particulate matter has been released.

    • In the case of playing cards such as playing cards and the like, the switching of cards have been conventionally performed using automatic switching apparatuses in a place such as a casino where there are many participants. Many of such conventional apparatuses, however, need a technical skill in operation of the apparatuses themselves, or have a complicated structure themselves. In such conventional apparatuses, moreover, there has been no switching apparatus which is enjoyable to game participants when they see the apparatus. An apparatus of the present invention is an automatic switching apparatus comprising: a delivery box portion for locating cards thereon and for transferring the cards one by one; a plurality of card boxes for separating the transferred cards; a controller portion for controlling the delivery box portion main body and its inner parts via a motor; and a deck portion for receiving the card from the card box and for returning the card to the delivery box, wherein the located cards are positioned in card boxes at random by actions of an ejection mechanism and a mechanism for transferring the cards one by one to the card boxes, and then, are returned in another path to the card place.

    • A batching of currently supplied articles with non-uniform weights into portions of a uniform target weight is effected by passing the articles through a weighing station (6, 8) to a distribution system (12), in which the articles (4) are selectively allocated to a plurality of receiver bins (14). It is known to improve the capacity of such a system by way of probability calculations based on the normal distribution of the articles in the supply flow, but according to the invention it is still better to base such calculations on a regularly updated recorded histogram (28) of the weight distribution of a relatively high number of newly weighed articles. Thereby the target calculations will rely on factual rather than just expected conditions, and a very important result is that it is possible to effect relevant batching even when the article weights in the supply flow are not normally distributed.
