    • A weighing machine that uses a plurality of pivoting conveyors to deliver product to a plurality of weigh hoppers the sum of which make the desired total weight required for a package. Each pivoting conveyor may supply product to a plurality of secondary conveyors by rotating or changing the pivoting conveyor belt speed. The machine uses a calculated number of front or rear weigh hoppers positioned beneath corresponding accumulation hoppers to produce the desired total weight. The accumulation hopper rapidly fills the weigh hopper after the weigh hopper is emptied. The front and rear accumulation hoppers are positioned below a diverter plate that directs product from the secondary conveyor. Access to the front and rear accumulation and weigh hoppers is made possible by hinging the front set of hoppers.

    • An arrangement for weighing bulk materials includes plural hoppers each having its own weighing system for accurately determining material discharge rate (lbs/minute) and for directing the contents of the hoppers to a product processing stage either sequentially from one hopper at a time while the other hoppers are being re-filled to provide continuous, non-stop operation, or in the alternative, from two or more hoppers simultaneously for blending the materials under the precise control of a programmed controller. Material discharge rate from each hopper is determined by continuous weighing of each hopper and its contents and is controlled in real time by precise computer controlled positioning of each hopper's slide gate. In the blending mode of operation, accurate monitoring of the material discharge rate is coordinated with processing of the material in a subsequent processing stage to allow for variation of the discharge rate to precisely match the subsequent processing parameters.

    • An automated weighing and filling station that operates without slowing the primary feed transfer. The system includes a bulk product supply, such as a hopper. A primary feed system delivers the product from the bulk product supply to the weighing station which includes two or more independent scale weigh hoppers with a diverter system operating between the two scale weigh hoppers. Each of the scale weigh hoppers empties into a discharge hopper. The primary feed system delivers the product to the diverter system at a constant speed. The diverter system delivers the product from the primary feed system to a first of the scale weigh hoppers until the scale weigh hopper anticipates that the determined weight will be achieved. At that time, the diverter moves the product from the primary feed system to the second of the scale weigh hoppers. The flow of product from the primary feed system is not slowed or stopped, but continues to operate at a constant speed.
