    • Methods and systems for treating organic waste, which include determining the ignition threshold temperature for the organic waste and at least one mineral by-product, selecting a ratio of organic waste:mineral by-product(s) based on the determined ignition threshold temperature, combining the mineral by-product(s) with the organic waste, so as to arrive at a mixture having the selected ratio of organic waste:mineral by-product(s); and drying the mixture of organic waste and mineral by-product(s) to produce organic waste solids. The treatment methods of the present invention are methods of stabilizing the treated organic waste so as to control the tendency of the organic waste to ignite. Also provided are organic waste solids formed by the methods of the present invention.

    • The present invention refers to a method and an equipment for pyrolytic treatment of organic material comprising a supply storage receiving the organic material to be treated, a number of containers with meshlike walls, each to be charged with a batch of said organic material, a horizontal reactor with a charge gate in one end and a discharge gate in the opposite end, the interior of the reactor being divided by means of internal gates into at least a heating chamber, a pyrolysis chamber, and a cooling chamber, as well as a recovery storage for a solid pyrolytic residue of the organic material, i.e. the pyrolytic coke, the pyrolysis chamber being provided with an outlet pipe for generated pyrolytic gas terminating in a fractionating condenser, said condenser being provided with an outlet for each liquid fraction and an outlet pipe for uncondensed pure pyrolytic gas, which outlet pipe terminates in a gas tank.

    • A sanitary waste disposal unit (1) including a scalable destruction chamber (11), a vacuum pump (23), a source of heat (15) and means (29) for the controlled introduction of air into the chamber (11). In use the waste is introduced on the chamber (11) which is then evacuated to remove substantially all the oxygen, and heated to sterilize the waste material to approximately 300-500° C. The chamber (11) is then cooled to approximately 150° C., a temperature sufficiently high enough to allow combustion of the waste material, which has been partially carbonized. A limited quantity of air is introduced into the chamber allowing combustion of the waste material and the combustion products are removed from the chamber.
