    • A fluid coupling device employs a male spherical member with a fluid receiving bore and a female housing. The spherical member abuts two axially spaced Teflon ring seats between the member and the housing in the housing chamber. The ring seats reduce friction between the member and the housing and axially retain the member in the housing with no metal to metal contact. A first O-ring provides fluid sealing between the spherical member and housing inner wall in the chamber. A hose receiving nipple member with a fluid receiving bore has a threaded concave end with a peripheral region that engages the first O-ring to hold the O-ring against the spherical member, one of the ring seats and housing chamber wall to seal the interface between the spherical member and housing. The nipple member has a flange which abuts the housing to limit squeezing action on the O-ring to ensure sufficient contact of the O-ring and mating surfaces to obtain a good seal without creating excessive friction loads. A second O-ring seals the interface between the flange and housing.

    • A fluid line connector system provides for connecting a fluid line to an article such as a fluid chamber. The wall of the fluid chamber has an orifice formed therein with a threaded portion. A fitting has a body with a hexagonal passage extending there through. A first end portion includes an interior tool receiving profile having a substantially hexagonal profile. A second end includes threads configured for inserting into the orifice. An exterior of the first end portion includes a raised ridge over which a fluid line is attached. A clamp engages the fluid line over the fitting and retains the connection in place.

    • A flexible joint for connection between a pair of conduits for transferring a gas, under pressure, between the conduits. The joint includes a hollow, annular inner member for connection to one of the conduits which defines a spherically shaped, convex seal receiving surface and a hollow annular outer member which defines a spherically shaped, concave seal receiving surface for connection to another of the conduits. The outer member is mounted over the inner member such that the convex and concave surfaces are spaced apart and movable relative to one another about a common center point. Both the inner and outer members are open on opposite sides of their respective spherically shaped surfaces. The outer member may include and outer part and an intermediate part which is removably connected to the outer part. One of the members contains a single seal ring assembly retainer groove which opens toward and opposing one of the surfaces and which is centered on the center point. The other of the members contains a pair of spaced apart and registered seal ring retainer grooves having a common center line which intersects the center point. The grooves contain seal ring assemblies, each of which include at least one seal ring having a spherically shaped bearing surface which conforms to and engages an opposing one of the seal receiving surfaces.

    • A flexible coupling for a ducting system.     • A continuous flexible conduit is formed from like-configured components, each having a male joint member and a female joint member with a passageway extending therethrough. The female joint member is over-molded about a corresponding male joint member to form a substantially fluid-tight articulating joint. In a method of producing the flexible conduit, a single-shot molding process is used to form each like-configured component, with each newly formed component indexed within the single-shot mold so that the male joint member is within the female mold cavity for the formation of the next component. In an alternative embodiment, a continuous conduit is formed of two different sets of like configured componentsnullone set having only female joint members and the other set having only male joint members. A two-shot molding process is described for continuous production of the flexible conduit using these two sets of components.
