    • A combination bottle and system for devising combination bottles for the retention of liquids and other pliable items is provided. A base container unit with an open mouth is configured to retain liquids and exhibits a base unit perimeter lip with an attachment configuration and the base container unit may be combined with various capacity-adding units which have perimeter lips with a variety of attachment configurations that allow attachment between the base unit and the capacity-adding unit(s). The base container unit may be combined either alone or with various numbers of capacity adding units with one or more top units that have top unit perimeter lips with top unit attachment configurations mateable with the various constituent members of the combination bottle system. Various top units are provided which exhibit functional end selected from the group of: sippy cup functional end, straw functional end, and nipple functional end. By varying the size of perimeter lips and projection aspect, necks may be created in constituted bottles providing convenient hand-holds.

    • A dispensing bottle-top 10 for bottles for products of liquid or viscous consistency includes a bottle-top body (20) adapted to be mounted on a bottle and including a feed cavity (13) and a top piece (30) adapted to be moved relative to this body between an inactive configuration in which a product dispensing orifice (35) is blocked and an active configuration in which this dispensing orifice (35) is exposed to the outside and communicates with the feed cavity (13). This bottle-top has a lateral wall that is advantageously cylindrical and is formed by the body 20 and, in said inactive configuration, an upper wall consisting entirely of the upper wall of the top part 30. This cylindrical body and this top part have complementary part-spherical surfaces adapted to slide one along the other with a relative movement and being connected by complementary retaining and guiding elements that remain hidden by this top part in each of the active and inactive configurations thereof. The dispensing orifice 35 is in one of the sliding surfaces.

    • A dispensing closure system is provided for a container that has an opening wherein a membrane is interposed between the container opening and the dispensing closure system. The system includes a body for extending from the container at the opening. The system includes a movable spout that (1) has a dispensing opening at one end, (2) has a piercing edge at the other end, and (3) is mounted in the body for pivoting the movement between (a) a non-dispensing position in which the piercing edge is above the membrane to locate the spout dispensing opening at a first, non-dispensing location, and (b) a dispensing position in which (i) the piercing edge can pierce the membrane, and (ii) the spout projects outwardly from the body to locate the spout dispensing opening at a location that is further outwardly than the non-dispensing location of the spout dispensing opening.
