摘要： A belt joint is formed by a pair of U-shaped clips joined to respective belt ends and has interleaved bights and a rod extending along an axis through the interleaved bights of the clips to connect the belt ends together. The clips are provided inside the bights in contact with the rod with a lining of a low-friction material. This lining can be a metal alloy, for instance one containing copper such as bronze. Alternately it can be a plastic, for instance polytetrafluorethylene.

摘要： A device for coupling the hinge-knuckles of two complementary series of belt-fasteners fixed respectively on each edge of a conveyor belt is constituted by a series of independent rod segments. The maximum length of each segment corresponds to the length of the hinge-knuckles of two opposite belt-fasteners. The rod segments have relatively displaced portions each corresponding to the width of one hinge-knuckle and are thus stationarily fixed in the longitudinal direction after positioning. The different segments are initially joined together by means of at least one temporary coupling member which is readily shearable at the time of initial use and troughing of the conveyor belt.

The preferred fasteners are plate fasteners joined together in a strip of these frangible bridge portions. Preferably, a pair of lines of weakness are formed by stamping parallel notches adjacent either edge of the plate fastener so that substantially all of the bridging material between adjacent fasteners may break off thereby leaving a sizeable gap between adjacent sides of adjacent fasteners.

摘要： The present disclosure provides a clip assembly for jointing devices for a conveyor belt that includes a U-shaped clip intended to be secured and straddling an end of a conveyor belt with an overhanging of a front curved portion, or nose of the clip. The clip assembly further includes a tube secured in a front concave portion of each clip and a bracket having two cheeks secured to lateral ends of the tube. The cheeks are joined together at a rear by a connection portion. The securing of the cheeks is obtained by piercings on lateral ends of the tube. Branches of the clips are provided with through-holes to secure the clip with a stem. In one form, the branches of one or more clips in a set of clips are of unequal length.

A hinge pin extends through the aligned bores in the knuckles and interlocks the splice elements. The splice assembly further comprises a hard splice guard mounted on each industrial belt member. The splice guard substantially covers the knuckles and protects the splice from damage.
