    • A disk brake including: a brake pad; a piston; a cylinder bore; an annular sealing groove formed on the cylinder bore; and a rectangular piston seal fitted into the sealing groove sealing between the piston and the cylinder bore, wherein the sealing groove includes: a bottom surface portion inclined as the sealing groove expands its diameter; a lateral surface portion that extends from one end of the bottom surface portion, the one end being a side where the sealing groove has the maximum diameter; and a chamfered portion, and wherein an inclined angle of the bottom surface portion is 2 to 8 degrees, an angle between the bottom surface portion and the lateral surface portion is 82 to 89 degrees, and with the piston installed into the cylinder bore, the piston seal abuts against the bottom surface portion and the lateral surface portion of the sealing groove.

    • A method for manufacturing callipers for disc brakes. The calliper includes a body in which cylindrical chambers are formed inside which pistons run bearing pads intended for acting on the disc of the brake during the braking step. The method includes the steps of providing a body provided with a slit intended for receiving the disc of the brake and with a pair of cavities aligned transversely to the slit on opposite sides of the slit. The cavities are intended for forming a pair of cylindrical chambers. One of the cavities has a first opening on the slit and a second opening to the outside of the body at which there is a tapered portion with a decreasing section towards the outside of the body. Closing the second opening is a cap applied in the cavity by the slit. The cap has a tapered portion that is forced at the tapered portion of the second opening to form a cylindrical chamber of the calliper.

    • A holder for hydraulic brake assembly includes a holder. The holder has one end thrust by a pushing mechanism and another end connected to a brake shoe. The holder has a skirt formed on one end thereof and outwardly extending therefrom to define a receiving space in between the skirt. The pushing mechanism is selectively received in the receiving space in the skirt. The skirt is provided for stably connecting to the pushing mechanism such that the pushing mechanism is steady thrust with the holder to provide a stable brake effect and prevent wear from an unstable contact.

    • The invention relates to a disk brake for a motor vehicle brake system having a frame-type housing, at least two brake pad arrangements, which are accommodated in the frame-type housing and between which a brake disk that is rotatable about an axis of rotation may be accommodated, and at least two guide bolts, which are mounted on the housing and on which at least one of the brake pad arrangements is guided with play in an axially displaceable manner. To avoid undesirable noises in this disk brake it is provided that on the brake pad arrangement guided on the guide bolts at least one spring means is mounted, which biases said brake pad arrangement relative to the guide bolts into a position corresponding to a tilting movement that results during braking of the brake disk from a braking torque acting on the brake pad arrangement.
