    • The invention relates to a process for the end-to-end dyeing of cellulosic materials, or blends that contain cellulose, with direct and/or reactive dyes by the pad dyeing process, which comprises using an aqueous liquor that contains at least one water-soluble direct or reactive dye and at least one water-soluble anionic, colorless organic compound having an affinity factor A, at a concentration of 0.2 to 0.3 g/l, for mercerized cotton of 1.1 to 4, said factor A being the quotient of the concentration of the water-soluble, colorless organic compound in a liquor without addition of dye, before impregnation, divided by the concentration of the water-soluble, colorless organic compound in the residual liquor without dye after impregnation. The process of this invention is suitable for dyeing textile cellulosic materials or blends containing cellulose to give end-to-end dyeings of good fastness properties.

    • Described is a process for the tone-in-tone printing and pad-dyeing of textile material made from fibre mixtures of synthetic and natural material with at least one disperse dye with the use of solvents having swelling properties, which process comprises printing or impregnating the textile material with a printing paste or padding liquor in which one or more disperse dyes have been produced by reaction of coupling components with diazo components; subsequently subjecting the printing or the dyeing, after intermediate drying, to a heat treatment and finally to the finishing process.There are obtained in the case of many disperse dyes when they are produced in the printing paste or padding liquor by the process of the invention better fixings on the natural constituent of the mixed fibres than when the same dyes are firstly produced and then added in the finely-dispersed form to the printing paste or padding liquor.

    • A method is provided for dyeing a nonwoven fabric comprising a blend of fibers to a single color shade. The method includes selecting a nonwoven fabric formed of a blend of polyester and nylon fibers, where the polyester fibers comprise about X percent by weight of the fabric and the nylon fibers comprise about Y percent by weight of the fabric. A single bath is formulated having about X percent by weight disperse dye and about Y percent by weight acid dye, adjusted for the desired color shade/depth. The nonwoven fabric is then dyed to obtain a dyed fabric having a single color shade of at least Grade 4 when measured in accordance with AATCC Test Method 153 and a colorfastness of at least Grade 4 when measured in accordance with AATCC Test Method 61.
